HELLO ALL ! My wife and I are planning a trip to WDW next fall. We have 2 kids, who will be 7 and almost 2 when we go. Does anyone know how the Boardwalk studio rooms are related to ammenities and size ( for a small family of 4) ? We don't really plan on cooking in the room and for 83 points we can stay for 6 nights. This would help us saving points for a larger family gathering in 2010. Thanks to all who respond !!!

You'll be perfectly fine. Before we got DVC we went with friends and the 4 of us (all adults in our late 20's at the time) stayed in a studio. There was enough room....the only issue was the other guy in the group apparently was a loud snorer. First night I was down at checkin trying to get a different room or at least earplugs at 3 in the morning. :scared1: They were nice enough to give us the earplugs free of charge.

Save your points. A Studio is large enough. It is approx the same size as a Deluxe Resort room, but with one queen bed and one queen sofa bed.

We've done the studio with two 12 year olds (our twins at the time) and there's plenty of room. You'll really enjoy it. Also, when you fold up the pull out sofa there's plenty of "living" room, as well as having the bed to plop down on, and don't forget the balcony! It's great = have a wonderful time!

This is one of our favorite resorts. I would think your children will be great!:goodvibes

Double sleeper sofa, not queen sleeper sofa.

We are a family of 4 (DDs 14 and 8) and we have only stayed in studios. We like to save points so we can bring friends along and get them studios as well. I guess since we are used to hotel rooms - DVC studios seem quite large and we love the kitchenette - microwave, mini fridge. It works great for us.

yea like to save those points - so unless it is II trade - studios for me!!!

Just for the heck of it, does anyone have the square footage of the BWV studio vs BW standard?
thanks, tm

Regular room is 390 sq ft
Studio is 359 sq ft

thank you... not sure why I thought the studios were bigger than the standard rooms. I'll bet the studio seems roomy, though, because of only 1 bed + 1 sofa vs 2 beds in the standard.
