Hi  ,

We have *almost* planned our next vacation to WDW for March 2004.

At the moment it is looking like this:

5 Nights: Boardwalk Inn or Yacht/Beach Club???
4 Nights: Grand Floridian
2 Nights: Portofino Bay Hotel or Hard Rock Hotel
3 Nights: The Wonder, Disney Cruise!!

We really can't decide were to stay for the first 5 nights, we stayed at The Yacht Club in 1991, but to be honest we can't really remember too much about it. We visited BWI for the DVC meeting, and it looked lovely.

Which of the 2 resorts has a better location??, Do either offer a concierge??, Which of the 2 resorts has nicer rooms??

Any Information on both or either of the resorts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!! :)

Richard.

If you have kids - my vote it the BC. Best pool in all of D-World. Best location in all of D-World. But I am sure that there are many different views out there. I've also never stayed at the BC concierge but from what I have read on it - it is the most highly rated one or one of the best rated concierge at D-world. But then again, dont tell that to the Polly people. :)

Hi,

We have a 3 year old DS and are travelling with friends with 2 children - 4 years and 6 years.

Anybody have any more information??

Thanks in advance! :) :)

I think that the YC was recently renovated. Maybe someone has more info? I prefer the YC theming to the BC, and the BW seems to "in the middle of things" for me.

Beach Club is my favorite! It has such a bright and cheery theming. I have a 5 and 6 year old that absolutely love this place. As the other poster mentioned the pool/mini-water park is the best on property. We all love sitting on the beach at night on one of the bench swings and looking at the lights of the boadwalk.

Both the BWI and the YC/BC offer concierge services. I have not stayed on the concierge level at either resort so I cannot comment.

The rooms at the two resorts are the same size. As far as being nicer it depends on style. The rooms at the YC have just been redone so they are the newest. The style at the BWI is Atlantic City early 1900s. The YC is just that a Yatch Club from New England. The BC is just that a Beach Club from New England. We perfer the YC with its dark woods and brass. Also the all of the rooms at the YC have a full balcony. The rooms at the BC do not.

We have stayed at the BWI and did not care of the resort. It was nice enough but it just did not have the same "feel" that we get when we stay at the YC. We would not stay at the BC due to not having the full balconies.

Hi  ,

Thanks for all of the information guys, as you can see from our countdown tiemr below, we have cosen The Boardwalk Inn.

Thank-You very much for the photo link Josierac, they are great!

Richard. :) :) :)

YC is my fav resort!

The pool-Stormalong Bay is just so muc fun! The slide is so cool, I even rode it several times!

It is just a short walk from Epcot.

And I really like the nautical themes of the rooms.

You will have a great time a BWI, though!

You really couldn't go wrong with either of those:D

We stayed at BWI on 12/6 for one night before moving to BWV for 6 nights (DVC). I thought the room was very nice, laid out exactly the same as a BC room. I didn't make any requests other than non-smoking and we ended up with a room facing the walkway to the bus stop on the second floor (standard view). If I had to do it again, I would have requested upper floor or a courtyard view. I guess because we did not have any requests, a room was not pre-assigned to us so we got what was left when we checked in around 4:00. I love the Boardwalk area, we made daily trips to the bakery or sweet shop. :D
