I would like to send an old fashioned, snail mail letter about my recent stay. Who is the GM there now? It isn't anything bad - it's full of compliments about the people who helped us while we were there. Thanks in advance!

I don't know who is the GM right now, but you could just address the letter to "General Manager, Disney's Boardwalk Resort" and it will find its way to the correct person.

The GM is Kim Marinaccio. She is very engaged and a manager that does care about guest experience. She was previously at AKL and briefly at GF. I found she does wonders for CM's and everyone generally likes her. Morale at GF was very good for her brief tenure.

Scratch that, I was just told by a friend that she is moving into another role this month (Director Experience Integration-Lodging) and the former WL GM is taking over. I will ask my CM friend what the new GM's name is.

The treadmill of GM's at the resorts is stunning, they have moved so many people around I cannot keep up. There is no continuity at the resorts with management moving around every 6-9 months. GF has had 3 GM's within the last 18 months.

What?! It's amazing those hotels operate as smoothly as they do with that sort of management turn around. There must be a reason and I have a grand total of 0 experience in hotel management... but still. I think that would drive me a little bonkers!

OP I love your idea of a snail mail good job. I'm filing that away in the back of my mind for the next time I come across that sort of situation!

We stayed at ASSP in January/February and although there were small glitches and one major major problem, it turned out to be our best vacation ever. So, on our last night I sat down and wrote a letter to the manager, to let him know how much we had enjoyed our stay. I thanked him for the various ways I had been helped and of course praised the C.M.s roll in our satisfaction. I have had many vacations in WDW, and many great experiences, but this was the first time I actually wrote a letter about it. I simply went to the front desk, asked for the manager, briefly told him how pleased we were, and passed the letter to him, explaining that I had written about our nice stay. He thanked me and told me he would let the others know too.

I am one of those people who still enjoy mailing a nice compliment letter. I think it means so much to see the written words. :) I was able to find out that it appears that the name of the manager is Jose Mola at least for now. I must say that our last stay at the Boardwalk Inn was the best vacation ever.
