My Happy Story!:
Before the Boardwalk Games opened in the spring, I remember seeing a sign @ the Blue Sky Cellar saying "New Prizes Themed to Each Game" and couldn't wait for the games to open, especially the Dumbo one (I
him!). So when they finally opened, I was upset to see that the prizes were just regular stuffed animals like before. The sign lied!
But this past Wednesday, I kept seeing ppl w/ Dumbo stuffed animals & was wondering where they were coming from bc they were ones that I'd never seen before in the stores. So when my friend & I were waiting in line for TSMM, I took a peek over @ the games & saw my beloved Dumbo! The themed prizes finally came! So we both wanted a Dumbo & decided to play. For those that aren't familiar w/ the new system, you have to put money (min. $5) into a machine to get a card (like @ SW) & $5 can get you 2 plays @ a game. The cards are actually really cute bc they have pics of the games on it. They kinda look like the pics they had @ Blue Sky Cellar, but they're a little different. Mine kinda looked like the Casey pic & my friend's kinda looked like the Bullseye pic.

So we waited in line for the Dumbo game to hopefully get a Dumbo which was the medium prize while the small prize was a donkey w/ a flower. If there's 4-5 ppl playing, you'll win a medium prize, but if there's 2-3 players, then you'll get a small prize. But there were a lot of ppl waiting to play, so if we won, no donkey's for us. This game is where you have to shoot the water into the target, except you just aim & the water will come out, no trigger involved. My friend & I played together along w/ 3 other ppl & guess what? I WON MY DUMBO!!! I was so excited! And since we both had 1 more play left on our cards we decided to play again so she could have one. The stupid thing was that we were both playing against each other, so that if someone else won, we would've been out of plays & my friend wouldn't have gotten a Dumbo. But to my luck, I won again!!! Wow, I never win anything! I was so excited & gave her the other Dumbo. We didn't play the other games, but for those who are interested, the other themed prizes include: Goofy's Fishing game- Mickey & Goofy in fishing/camping gear; Casey Pitching game- jumbo Casey (I also saw a long weiner dog, but don't know if he's themed); Bullseye Stampede game- Bullseye (don't know if there was any others).
Throughout the day, we held our Dumbos and got so many compliments on how cute they were. I don't know how long the themed prizes had been out, but many CMs @ DL had never seen them before & loved them. One CM asked if they sold them & I told her that they came from the Boardwalk Games. Another CM even asked to see one of ours & I had to make sure his hands were clean so he wouldn't get my Dumbo dirty
. He was nice & asked if we wanted our pics taken, so we had a cute pic together w/ our new Dumbos! The CMs were so nice & told us to make sure to watch the fireworks. I was so glad he was flying that day! So here's a pic of what the Dumbo prizes look like. Our Dumbos are chillin' in the patio @ Innoventions! (Mine's on the left).
