Please forgive me if this is something to be found elsewhere, but my husband, son (3) and I are going to be taking our first trip to WDW as DVC members the first week of December, and part of the trip will be spent at BWV...

I would love to hear stories, recommendations, etc. of things to do and places to go to really enjoy the Christmas season at this resort. This isn't our first trip to WDW, but our first trip to BWV.

We're also staying the first two nights of our trip at WL - paying cash for a regular room, not a villa - and any ideas for that wonderful resort would be appreciated too.

thanks!

Jennifer (Steve and Max, too)

i think that both resorts - offer story telling in their lobbies.

both are beautiful - just go and look around -

however in my opinion one of the best reason to stay at BW is after illiuinations - walking back to your room in less time than walking to the bus or to your car.....

We like to take a walk around the lake stopping at each hotel lobby to see the different decorations. Be sure to take some time to examine the chocolate creation that is sure to be in the Boardwalk lobby. You'll probably see amazing things made out of gingerbread at the BC and YC. Last year the Dolphin had a humongus tree with a very large toy train running on tracks around it. If you have time, visit the VWL, AKL and the GF, too - awesome decorations at all three, IMHO!

Don't forget to see the Osborne Lights at MGM, the tree-lighting ceremony and decorations at DTD, and MVMCP at the MK (see the Christmas parade during MVMCP - it won't run afternoons until just before Christmas) Don't miss the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT - it's a beautiful re-telling of the Christmas story and includes the Disney orchestra, a massive choir and a celebrity narrator. See the World Showcase Santas and holiday traditions at each WS country, the Lights of Winter and a tree - lighting ceremony at EPCOT, too.

For us, the holiday season is the very best time to vist WDW.

Best wishes -

P.S. The annual condo meetings will be held while you are there. Might be fun to catch yours if you can work it in. Also, I believe the Doll and Teddy Bear weekend is either at the start of yor trip or the end of your trip. Doubt you will have enough time to do and see everything you'd like.

Hi,
If you haven't taken the christmas decoration tour already, I would suggest it. If only I could remember the name of it.
Every year during Christmas time, Disney would have a tour on resort decorations. The one time I took it, we went to the parks and several different resorts (VWL, and Grand Floridian) where the tour guides would explain the behind the scenes stuff... :D

It was really fun...

Have a good time at Disney. You picked a wonderful time to go... :D

You must be thinking of the Yuletide Fantasy tour. Read more about it here:
