Boardwalk Bride's PJ Morocco/Canada/Attic/SCP updates 01/09!!

My vote is for #4 for you. and then 1 for your BM. This way you can have the multi colors without feeling its too flower girlish. But the new spider mums are really cute as well. I think you just have too many good choices! excited to see everything pulled together! yay

Thanks for the "yay":goodvibes Okay, I was freaking out today, because I just cannot visualize this at all! And with school starting, and DF and I getting super busy, I need to know everything now. So, we made this computer sketch of our bridal party, and we also tried making it infront of us (which looks pretty pathetic since we used paper towel for flowers and pj's for my dress:rotfl:) So here they are:

What do you ladies think?
The colours are a little off here, but basically, it is me with the white football mums, the BM's with the white spider mums, DF with a pink mum bout, and GM's with a red mum bout (which is too dark here). Does this look right? Or should DF have a red one, and the gm each have pink, or should they all have red?:confused3 And I don't know if I should have red wrapped stems, or white, ahhh I don't know!

Okay, here is our pathetic try at making it more "real". I know it looks quite weird, but it really helped in visualizing everything:

Fist of all... you're VERY creative! hahaha

Second I LOVE how it looks! i'm glad you did that because i can see it and i totally get the idea! I think it'll look beautiful!

Lol...you make me laugh.

Seriously though...doesn't it help to put stuff together like that??!? I think it looks great! I love the tan suits with the turquoise ties!!

Thanks everyone~ I'm glad to know other people think it looks okay!

DF and I went grocery shopping today, and we saw a bunch of spider mums (apparently they grow in Ontario) and they are really cheap:goodvibes So I can afford to have a big poof of them for each of us (assuming Disney doesn't totally jack up the price

Everything looks great! I love the mock-up you did with PJ's and paper towel holders, very creative and anything that helps you visualize it is good!

I love the colours! They look great together, and isn't it great when you find out that what you want is cheap!!

i like the visuals! it is really is gonna look great!!!

Nice job on the visuals. I think they came out really well!

This weekend I ended up having a chance to be with my bm's and MOH, which was really awesome, since we all live in different cities, and we are all so busy! I had a chance to give them the fabric I bought, and we talked a bit about the overall look, but we mostly just caught up on life since we haven't seen each other for awhile (well at least 2 of them for me). One stayed over for the night, but we drank so much wine, by the time I showed her the pictures that I posted on here (my lame mockups) I don't think she was seeing clearly :lmao:

Anyway, I am still a little uneasy, so I made ANOTHER picture. I think it will look okay in the end, and I think the all white bm bouquets help tone down the colour. But DF and I are mostly concerned with what the guys should wear. Should they have a solid aqua tie, a aqua stripped one, or a red striped one (or a mix). And than what about the boutonnieres? These little details are so stressful!

Anyway, here is an updated pic. If anyone has any opinions/suggestions, I would REALLY appreciate it!

I think full coloured ties would look better, or perhaps a bit of a jacquard style to give them a bit of texture :confused3

Whew! Finally got all caught up! Loving your theme so far!!! Consider me subscribed! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your opinion! What is a "jacquard" style?

I had a heart attack at our first BEO - but when we had done our planning session we basically included our "wish list" so I knew we would have to cut things out. Still, seeing a 30k number for 50 people was scary! ;)

I will definitely have a heart attack if I see a number that high! LOL, I am sure that would be hard with an Escape package though!

I'm not 100% sure that I'm using the right term, but I'm pretty sure it's technically the same colour, just stitched/sewn differently so it gives off a slightly different shade of the same colour... Almost like embroidery... But not :rotfl:

I stole this from some random website, so I don't know how long it's going to be a proper pic...

Thanks! Now I know a new word :rotfl: I seriously think picking out the ties is going to be so hard....I don't know what to do:confused3

I am actually going through a huge wedding depression right now. Since I am back in school I am so busy (I have 2 classes, 5 jobs, and am VP for a national conference) so I don't have a lot of time to think about it. When I do think about it though, I just start doubting everything I have planned.

I feel like in the summer, I didn't have a job or much school, so wedding planning was my job. So I came up with my big plans, and now it just feels to complicated, and I really am starting to not like it. When DF and I were originally planning our DFTW, it was going to be simple. Just the ceremony at SBP, dinner somewhere, and possible a small DP. No bridal party, no reception.

Obviously I have to work with what I have now. I love my friends, and want them to be a part of my wedding, but I just feel like the "simple" aspect has been taken away. The other thing is, out wedding BEO is probably going to be over $10000, which is way more than I wanted to spend.

UGH

UGH

Repeat after me...Breathe in, breathe out…RELAX :)

I think we all go through similar feelings. I know I did…I wanted something small, super simple, no bridal party. We ended up compromising because df wanted a bigger wedding that his whole family could attend, and he wanted a bridal party. We finally agreed on just one person to stand up for each of us and a slightly larger wedding, but still manageable (and affordable!)

We all go through lulls too! I know I definitely get too wrapped up in the wedding sometime. It’s my new hobby!! Take a deep breath, and a step back and you will be fine. Oh and Ben & Jerry’s could probably help too ;)
