Agreed. I stand and walk most of my days at work. As I get older it gets a little more difficult, arthritis you know. I tell my wife that the Irish whisky is for the pain.
You'll do a ton more walking in the parks than you will at BWV. If your knees are an issue, I'd request ground floor near the bus stop. That would give you easy access to/from the bus stop via the paved path that you can see running along the canal in the resort aerial photo above. I would find this preferable to being close to the elevators.
The other issue is "close to the elevators" is probably the most frequent request for BWV standard view villas. There are those who make that request based on medical reasons. So while you can make the request, it is not guaranteed at all how close you will be. Remember, you are talking about one side of the hallway only...and you can only check-in if the room is available. So the closest to the elevator might still be halfway down the length of the building.
So for ease of access, and increase in likelihood of getting the request, I'd go with the ground floor near bus stop request. That tends to put people close to that corner of the building near the canal.
