Boardwalk area

Definitely go in the evening. They have surrey bikes you can rent, hair wraps and face painting. Carnival type games like squirting water into the clowns mouth. There is strolling entertainment like magician, etc.... lot's of fun to watch. There is an ice cream/candy shop, restaurants, ESPN club, shopping, funnel cakes, kiosks selling coffee, corn dogs, etc... Also a couple photo booths. You can walk around the lake and visit the YC/BC and check out their lobbies and shops. The BW lobby is beautiful too. We like sitting by the water eating ice cream and people watching. You can also see the upper fireworks from Illuminations on the BW. The BW just is a fun place to visit with a great atmosphere at night.

I am fairly certain that the face painting is no longer there. I have not seen ot there for the past year or so. They still have the hiar wraps though.

This was from the Allears link that was posted. That was why I was questioning whether the entertainment was actually nightly. So, I'm glad to hear from first hand experience that it is! Thanks.

Does anyone know bout how much a hair wrap is? I am going to the BW on my first night and know that my DD will want this done and I am really trying to budget everything very carefully this yrea.

yes, they have christmas decorations and they are amazing. make sure you go inside, one time we were there they had a large carousel made of chocolate in the lobby, another time was a roller coaster.

Oh, thanks I must have skimmed over that.
DH and I were just there in July and saw the entertainment on a Sunday night.

I just checked that Steve Soars site and it says the entertainment was from Thurs - Sat, but that was posted in 2003.

We stayed there in Dec. 06 and it was decorated and it was beautiful. I can try to see if I can post some pictures for you but I don't know if I will be able to cause they are on my stubborn computer. I'll try though.

Someone on here, the DIS, is staying at the BW villas right now and has a live webcam going pretty much 24/7 from their balcony overlooking the boardwalk. I've been watching the webcam the past couple of nights - esp. to see the Illumination fireworks that can be seen from over the Boardwalk Inn - and I've heard entertainment going on the past two nights down on the boardwalk so that Thurs - Sun thing might be outdated.
