Boarding Pets at or near Hilton Head

Hi Everyone
Does anyone have any information about kennels near the Hilton Head Island resort? I tried searching all the old posts but some are really old. is there a website with this kind of information? the DVC Member website seems kind of light on the info....I have a tiny dog and he likes to be near us

Pet Care
You must board any pet traveling with you to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort before arrival (please note: service animals as defined by the Americans with Disability Act are welcome at the resort). Evergreen Pet Lodge, a local boarding facility, offers a 10% discount to Disney Vacation Club Members. Call (843) 681-8354 for more information and advance reservations.

This place does look really nice. We may need to board closer to home. Turns out it costs more to fly Peanut down that it costs for any of us! lol

We used Evergreen a few years back. Just for one night. They were very patient with our high energy border collie! He was the kind of dog that either really amused people or really irritated them. The people at Evergreen were luckily amused.

We used Evergreen Pet Lodge a couple of times - would highly recommend them. They are located on Dillon St - the same street as the airport.

We may take our pet with us over Christmas break. How far is Evergreen from HHI?

That would alleviate alot of stress if we could take our pet with us and board him. That way we can at least visit him.

It's only about 3 miles away, a little less than a 10 minute drive.

Plus you can ask the kennel - I don't really remember - but there is a dog park nearby, or a beach you can bring your pet to if you wanted to go take them out for the day.

Is it accessible by bike path? That would be great to ride over for a visit!

I also highly recommend Evergreen- our lab had a good stay and it was wonderful to be able to visit him- we even took him out to the beach one day.
