I am staying at boardwalk villas for the 1st time . I have heard people say in the past that there is a shell or a gas station that you can walk to to get some supplies for the room. Can someone tell me how far away this is. Also what Counter meals are there around in that area. Thanks in advance

The Speedway station (formerly Hess) is across the street from the entry drive to BWV. It's long enough I wouldn't want to carry a ton of weight back to the room but in the grand scheme of Disney walking isn't that far. I might guess 1/4 mile from the lobby?

The Bakery on the Boardwalk is a fairly good QS location. In the morning there are muffins and such at the BW lounge and the main pool bar - Leaping Horse Libations has a few sandwichs and hot dogs during the day. There's also a Pizza window off the Boardwalk and a couple other food stands. Over at the Dolphin there is a very good QS location - Picabu that is open 24 hours. Or YC/BC is just across the lake.

The Screen Door store on the Boardwalk has basics like milk, juices, and snacks if that’s what you’re looking for. There was also a food stand where you could get a variety of to go items, although I don’t recall the hours. The pizza window is open late (I believe until midnight). There are also several options for ordering groceries/supplies online which are really convenient (we prefer Amazon Prime Now).

We have seen many people walk over to the Speedway with their small roll aboard luggage to fill it up. Much easier than having to carry it back.

We always walk over to the Hess/Speedway gas station for cheaper snacks.
Walking there for us is no more than 6 minutes.
We grab a gallon or two of water, a 6-pack of beer, & snacks.
We used to grab newspapers back when that was a thing people still did.

I'll be over there Saturday picking up my Yeungling!

Walking back from the Speedway is uphill.
There is no food court at the BW or really any of the deluxe resorts, at least not like the value or moderate resorts. Just smaller counter services. But you have a kitchen or kitchenette in your villa, so why not use that?

Definitely go to the Screen Door General Store and get some things. You can pack your own "dry goods" [granola bars, nuts, cookies, fruit snacks, even tortillas to make wrap / roll up sandwiches, mayo or mustard packets, dry cereal, etc,,,,,] This place is an on site store there at boardwalk with have lots of things....even milk,, frozen pizzas , lunch meat, sodas, wine, etc,,,,
