Board Walk Villas and Beach Club Villas

Does anyone know if you are still able to purchase either Board Walk Villas Direct or Beach Club Villas direct still? Also, how hard is it to get board walk villa studies around june 6th and beach club villa studios and 2 bedroom around the same time. I am currently helping my daughter plan her wedding and forecasting availability is so frustrating

For current members you can still buy those resorts direct as long as DVD has them available. That's the real rub though. The way this happens is when they exercise their ROFR on somebody's contract sale. You will probably have to go on a wait list to get the points. Call your DVC guide to do this.

I'm pretty certain that the wait list for Beach Club is currently at 2 years and they are no longer adding anyone to that waitlist. That's what my guide told me last month. I don't know how long the waitlist for Boardwalk is.

If you are tryng to reserve a block of rooms There should be a group sales dept that can help. Or just reserve a few rooms now, assuming availability and make sure you can cancel without penalty.

If you're looking at June 6th THIS YEAR, you may be out of luck.

The near park resorts oftentimes book up at the 7mo mark-- maybe you can wait as long as 6.5 months to book boardwalk pool/garden view. Bcv is notoriously hard to get in no matter the time of the year.

If you're looking next year, I wouldn't count on bcv on the 7mo mark, but bwv pool/garden might be had at the 7mo mark.

Ps-- bcv Waitlist is closed. Bwv can be had but who knows how long you'll wait. If you go resale, there are some new restrictions for first time buyers, and the process oftentimes takes at least 3+ months.

As of February (when DVC called to tell me about the bonus offer at the Poly if I added on) BWV was avail for direct purchase (with possibly a waiting list depending on how many points and/or use year you wanted. However at that time the waiting list for BCV and VGF was closed.

See that is funny, cause I called 2 days ago about BCV and they told me that it is currently selling at $160 and GFV is at $180. According to the guy I talked to both were open to buy into? I would not take this for 100% cause I was not a fan of the salesman and asked for another one when I called back yesterday with Poly questions.

DVD doesn't want to sell older resorts, they want to sell the new resorts where they make the most money. If they get stuck with older resort foreclosures they want to unload them. If they can ROFR at a very low price and they have someone on a waiting list for those points, they will ROFR and sell the older resort.

It's all about the money.

Are you a current owner? And looking at adding on only for the wedding? I'd look at the point transfer route or rentals.

We booked BWV at 6 months and 29 days... missed BCV and our 7 month window by one day due to waiting for membership card. I was able to get two studios for June 2-9. BWV will be easier, BCV much harder. This is due to my limited experience being a new owner but I have been watching for years.

Perhaps they reopened both wait lists since late February? That was when I had talked to our guide.

I bet my better half would let me sell one of our BCV contracts.... For one hundred BILLION dollars. Muahahahhah

BCV does fill up pretty quickly. BWV you can get lucky last minute but definitely not guaranteed. We bought BCV because we literally spend half of every day at SAB, so it's always our #1 choice; hence we definitely need the booking advantage there. I've walked over to BWV a few times and I hardly ever see very many people at the clown pool. Maybe they're hiding... Either from me or the clown... Hmmm.
