Hi everybody! I'm journaling in my scrapbook and was wondering if anybody remembers the story behind the boabob tree on the kilimanjaro safari. I know it's really old, but cant remember how old or how it got to disney. Thanks for your help!
Disney says that the baobab tree is "over a 1000 years old." However, the baobob trees on Kilamanjaro Safaris are fake. There is one real baobab tree in the park, it is the tree outside of Tusker House. What was interesting, is that while we were there one time, the real baobab tree had leaves, and during the spiel on the safari, they deleted the part about the baobab's blooming cycle.
