OK so here is the problem. I have too many choices! I don't know what one to pick for a BM dress. I think I could have a problem if I leave it up to the girls so I just want to choose one and be like "This is it" Kind of harsh but it could be TOTAL chaos if I just let them "choose" I sense a lot of Well we did hers just so she wouldn't complain sort of stuff. So I guess my question is which dress do you like better

A (Davids Bridal Separates)
I totally love the skirt on this it is SO beautiful

itv3.xml

or B
David's Bridal
It is ruffled inthe back and plain in the front. I didn't think I would like it looking at the picture however it looks REALLY good in person

SO any advice you have would be great.
OH the other thing is I still haven't decided on a color. I have been waiting to pick the style of dress and then do a color to match/coordinate with it.
Color isn't all that improtant to me.

Thanks a bunch!

I like them both a lot actually. I would proably lean toward the first one because a halter can be hard to wear and alter on those with smaller chests. If that's not an issue, then don't worry about it, but I can't wear the halters at David's. No amount of altering can make it possible (and they tried, in bridal and bridesmaid styles)

I like the second one, although I don't have any experience with halters like WDWAurora does.

both are really nice but i like A. i think it will fit everyone nicely, no matter what their size is.

I like A, too. and I agree with just picking one and saying "this is it" b/c it makes things so much easier! but I did get the opinions of the BM's first b4 I picked it (although the ultimate decision was mine hehe) don't stress, it's your wedding, do what you like best and what will leave you with the least amount of stress. :teeth:

How much are the two dresses - I would try and help the BM's out and choosing the cheaper one .. they are both BEAUTIFUL!!! I love them.

here are my BM's. we did the separates from Davids.

the halters really worked on everyone but one insisited on having a strapless, so another went with it, so it didn't look totally stupid. everyone was shaped totally different so this was the best choice

I love them both!! :lovestruc My only thought is that with those ruffles they may be very hard to alter.

Thank you all for your comments.
I am doing my best to keep them the cheepest that I can.
I love the idea of the separates however when the girls tried them on they didn't like them.....something to do with having to pull the skirt up too high.....

After talking to my consultant at david's I found out that the separate dress has been having some trouble.....the skirt falls apart...so I have ruled that one out...it looks like I'll be going with the halter

However I have found this one that I like as well.....Decisions Decisions!

Nikki,

I like that one a lot! It's quite attractive! :grouphug: and pixiedust: to make the decision that works for your needs!

try the alfred angelo line (www.alfredangleo.com) ... they have separates and a lot of other great choices. :-) and they are priced the same or cheaper than davids and IMHO are better quality than davids.

I love the bunched skirt look. But just a quick warning on the bunchie skirt. I had my girls in something simliar but by Watters and Watters. Make sure you have lots of safety pins on hand. Every time someone steps on the dress the bunches pull out....By the end of the night the only thing that was keep the dresses folded was the pins...lol....the girls are still laughing at having upwards of 40 pins in each dress.

I love the third choice! My wedding dress had the bunched skirt. I got mine at Jessica McClintock and I think they also have very reasonable priced dresses. I only had two BM but they looked great and they picked the dress themselves. I had also thought of picking a color and/or skirt from Davids and let them pick the top. If you like a certain dress just tell them "this is it!" I think they will understand. It is your day! dont stress out too much about it, you are the princess and you are marring your prince princess:
