My family and I ate at BlueZoo the second night it opened. We did not have a great experience and will not be going back. They were obviously not catering to the family crowd. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 3 children, the youngest being 16 months and in need of a highchair. When they took us to our table, they had placed 9 adult chairs. When I told them that our 16 month old son could not sit in that chair, they indicated that they did not have any highchairs (I'm not sure why they didn't just tell us this when we checked in with the hostess). At that point, I said that we would need to eat somewhere else and then they said they would find us something. They did produce a highchair within 5 minutes. I think because there was only several tables filled, they did not want to lose a large party.
Anyway, while the food was good, the portions were very small. All three adult men in our party ordered the filet, and they were not at all full when we left. I had the chicken, and it was also very small. The bill, however, was quite high. We have eaten at Shula's, Yachtmen's Steakhouse, Le Cellier, and Flying Fish all several times, so the bill was not unexpected. However, we have always felt that our dinner portions were adequate to the price and have left these places full... sometimes stuffed.
Maybe things will change as they are open longer (such as having highchairs available), but we will not be returning unless I hear many favorable reviews. By the way, the service was outstanding, but again, we were one of only 3-4 tables occupied.
