My parents have a timeshare with Sunterra and booked Blue Tree Resort because of its proximity to WDW. They invited us to stay with them in a 2b unit. We arrived last Fri. and it was horrible to say the least. The rooms were so tiny they put a 3 drawer dresser in the closet with a TV on top of it. You couldn't close the closet doors and you couldn't hang any clothes. The bathroom was the size of a motel 6. The sofa and chairs were stained and torn. The coffee maker didn't work. We stayed 1 nt. and then moved to Sunterra Cypress Pt. which is across the street. This was extremely nice in comparison. The bedrooms were huge and the LR and DR were large. All the furnishings appeared new, in fact the sofa bed still had the plastic on the mattress. We were very pleased staying here. In addition it had a washer and dryer. Unfortunately my parents had to use pts. to book Blue Tree and had to use additional pts. to rebook at Cypress pt. We have a DVC timeshare and are used to the accomodations there which of course are fabulous.

I think you just got a bad room and did not stay in the 2 bed room deluxe unit. We have stayed at the Blue Tree Resort 4 times and have never had any thing but nice, clean rooms. We have only stayed in the deluxe room though and have stayed 7 to a unit on two occassions.

I think your parents should contact Sunterra and complain..maybe they will give them some points back

We had a bad stay there a couple of years ago; it was showing it's age then.

Blue Tree Resort is not a Sunterra resort, it is managed by Westgate.
