Blue Tree Resort, Need comments and opinions

Hello..BTree is an older time share resort in Lake Buena Vista...great location....units are older and not the super fancy time shares that are popping up....but the price is also usually much better...If you are paying about $90 a night for a two bedroom this is a reasonable ball park for this location and these units...I think you will find them and the resort to be very adequate and again a great location just outside the east entrance to Disney that comes in at the Marketplace....also lots of great places to eat in Lake Buena Vista in all price ranges...enjoy..Ted

I stayed there last September, and the best that I would say is it's OK. The room had many cleaning/maintenance issues when we got in, and we had to really push the staff to get anything fixed; open outlets on the wall, no cold water from any of the faucets, broken safety latch on the door. They wern't busy at all (we checked in the weekend after 9/11, there were very few people around).
They are now being managed by the same company that manages the Wesgate resorts, and there is some kind of power struggle to get rid of the old maintenance company, but they are still using them.
Hope this helps.

RUN don't walk away from here. I am a owner and I can't even rent it out! I have a week this year that is going to go to waste!! This place is run down, the staff doesn't care! We had a drawer missing from the dresser and they never came to fix it. Our room had a jacuzzi in it and there was never enough hot water to fill it.

I've stayed there three times, and have had no problems. The rooms we stayed in were always nice and had no maintenence issues. The location is wonderful. Lots of good restaraunts in vicinity and easy access to the parks. I am staying at the Westgate Lakes resort in October, so this will be the first time I stay somewhere other than Blue Tree. If you get a good deal, I say go for it....

At the time, we traded our timeshare in Hiton Head in to interval international for a week in Orlando. (1996). When looking at
properties available, Blue Tree and Mariott Cypress Harbour were
on our short list. We solicted opinions and were un-sold on Blue tree. We ended up at MCH and were very happy there. If you're
renting a car, MCH is at the seaworld exit but very nice and worth the location compromise. If rates are similar, I'd recommend MCH.
