Blue Skies, Sunshine, and Unseasonably HOT Pixie Dust! Update 3/6 Final Thoughts!

Great TR so far!!! Bella is such a cutie pie.

Looks like our trips overlapped. We were there May 1 - May 8. Looking forward to more!!

At least they humored you! :rotfl: I have to smile at that picture because it is so something DD is going to do to me. So great your rooms were ready (well, almost for your's) and connecting rooms. It is almost like the read not these buildings please and assigned the one that was not on the list.

Looking forward to the next segment. popcorn::

Definitely subbing! Your daughter is adorable and your whole family looks like they are ready to have a great trip! Can't wait for more reviews!

Kayce! Bella is sooo cute...I love how happy she is and she hasn't even made it to the parks yet!
eargerly awaitng your next installment! popcorn::

ooh, you already started! Sounds like a great start so far. Bummed I didn't get a chance to meet you on the 5th but we were in desperate need of some pool time. Can't wait to see more pics of POR and hear about your first day in the parks!

Great start! Bella is sooooooo cute. I can't wait to see the outfits and bows you worked so hard on. (Don't make me wait too long):rolleyes1

Count me in. I just read your PTR a few weeks ago and was excited to see you had started your TR. Bella is adorable. Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks for joining in! And for the compliment!

You've got a great start to your TR. I can't wait to read more! :)

Thanks! Hopefully soon!

Did you have a good trip? Despite the heat and crowds, we still did!

I know! I love how they assigned us to the one that was NOT on the list!! At least we were in the general area we wanted to be in. The South Depot is the first one and the closest to the main building, and it was still the closest to us (just not as close as I had hoped :rotfl:).

cant wait for more!

I'm glad you joined in!!

Thanks so much! It was a great trip--I can't wait to tell more but I have been so busy!

Thank you! She is generally a happy little girl...as long as she is getting her way! :rotfl2:

I totally understand the need for pool time, especially when it is that hot! We had fun at the meet though! Wish you could have made it!

Haha! I will try not to. I have been trying to get an update in but real life keeps getting in my way. I am a teacher and the end of the school year is crazy!! Can't someone else pack my room for me, don't they know I am trying to write a TR?!?!?!? :lmao:

We didn’t wait more than a few minutes before our bus pulled up. We headed here:

We got our bags checked and went to guest services to redeem our first GAD FP. We needed everyone’s park ticket, but they didn’t need to see all of us. There was noone in line at Guest Services, so it only took a minute.

And before too long, we were rounding that magical corner, ready for the castle to pop into view. I asked Bella if she was ready, and she said yeah. Then, were on Main Street, USA! I was SO excited. I just stared at the castle and soaked it all in. Then I heard a whine. :scared1:WHAT??? Why is she whining at her first ever view of the castle?

Well, when we turned the corner she didn’t exactly see the castle. She looked straight ahead at the store on the opposite corner and saw the balloon man standing there with a million Mickey balloons. And she wanted one. “No Bella, look THERE,” I said, and she did.

“Oh! Wow!” I finally got, along with a smile. Then I could resume soaking it all in!!

That relief only lasted a few minutes. As we made our way down Main Street, I realized just how tired and crabby she was after getting up so early and doing all that traveling. We stopped for our first Photopass pic (which I will post when I get the CD), and she is totally whining in them. She had accidentally left her sunglasses at the bus stop and the sun was “too bright.” We never did see those sunglasses again!

We all decided to make our way to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mountain. On the way there, we saw a misting fountain and the kids had a blast playing in it. It was HOT! I put a good DIS tip to use and got some cups of ice water from the drink stand nearby. :worship:Then, Kellie, Noah, Jaeden and I headed to Space Mountain while my parents waited with Bella playing in the fountain. The Stand-by line was about 45 minutes, but we went up to the FP machine, put in our GAD tickets, and out popped our FastPasses for that very minute! (Well, they give you an hour, but we were using them that very minute!)

This was my first time ever using Fastpass, and all four of us were absolutely amazed at being able to walk right on past all those people waiting in the regular line. It is such a good feeling. We were up at the front ready to board in less than ten minutes! Jaeden was a little nervous, but both boys ended up thinking it was SO cool. Kellie and I enjoyed it, too, though we weren’t quite as amazed since we had ridden it before.

After SM, we went to meet the rest of the family to head to Buzz Lightyear. They had just gotten on the Carousel of Progress, so we had to wait a while for them. We just sat in the shade, drank water, and enjoyed the atmosphere.

While we were on SM they had ridden the TTA.

This was an old favorite of mine, and I was sorry I missed it. I never did make it back to ride! Oh well, there’s always next time.

Bella came out of CoP with a huge grin on her face singing, “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow!” I am glad it gave her a few minutes to relax, cool off, and not be so crabby! We headed to defeat the Evil Zurg. I rode with Bella and my mom. Not sure how long the wait was, we used our GAD Fps again. I didn’t score many points because I was sharing a gun with Bella, but my mom got a ton--I think she must have hit the one that gives you all the points without even knowing it!

Afterwards, the kids of course had to get trapped with Zurg. It seems like there are some Disney pictures that everyone just has to get and this is one of them!

After Buzz, we just kind of wandered around and ended up at the Tea Cups. Only the boys, Bella, and I were brave enough to ride! We waited less than five minutes. Bella and I were in one, the boys in another.

Then we rode the carousel with no wait. I looked for Cinderella’s horse but didn’t see it. Bella was convinced that hers was Cinderella’s, so I let her think that. :rolleyes1

By this time, we started heading to the park exit to get to the monorail for our dinner ADR. We stopped to make some wishes in Cinderella’s fountain:

I love this one, you can see her closing her eyes and making a wish:

Up next: Chef Mickey’s!!!

fun update! I'm glad to hear that Bella was able to recoup...we as adults tend to forget how over whelming it can be for over tired little ones! looks like a great intro to Walt Disney World :mickeyjum

I just love seeing the castle for the first time!! :lovestruc And I love Bella wishing at the fountain with her eyes closed! Soo cute! My girls really enjoyed Carousel of Progress last time! You can't get that song out of your head!!

:woohoo: You made it to the Magic Kingdom. Funny story about Bella focusing more on the balloons than the castle. I know a few kids that would do that too:rolleyes1 I'm glad that COP cheered her up. It looks like you're having tons of fun!

That is too funny that Bella was more interested in the balloons and didn't realize the castle. :lmao: I love the picture of her making a wish in Cinderella's fountain! That is where DH proposed in 2007--so I am biased!

And to answer your question..yes, we did have a great time even though it was hot and busy as can be!! :goodvibes

Those GAD FPs sound awesome! How cool to just put it in and get an immediate ride window :cool1:

When I read that your parents took Bella on CoP, I thought that was just what she needed - a nice long COOL attraction so that she could regroup!

Love the picture of her at the wishing well, so sweet :goodvibes

Great start at MK Kayce!! Bella is looking like she is having a wonderful time!! Love Love Love the "wishing" picture at the Cinderella Fountain, I wonder what she wished for?!

The picture of the two of you in the tea cup is so adorable too, I hope you didn't get too dizzy!!! Looking forward to hearing and seeing all about Chef Mickey's!!!!!!!!!:yay:

I'm glad Bella seemed to recover from the initial weariness! That instant FP does sound cool! Our first time using them, we sped right past the 1 hour long stand-by line on BTMRR and my DH turned to me and asked why anyone would wait when you can use FP's instead!

I'm in! All caught up and can't wait for more.popcorn:: We are currently planning a trip for 2011. No dates nailed down yet though. We have been in May twice before and loved that time of year but the kids are older now and I am not sure about taking them out of school.:confused3 So our other choice is June/July. Not afraid of the heat. We all love the hot weather. We are more afraid of the crowds. Anyhow, your daughter is adorable and I am psyched for all the rest!:yay:

We adored the CoP. I hope that you got to enjoy it sometime during your trip too. :) I couldn't think of a better way to perk up a hot, not so happy kiddo. I adore the photo of her closing her eyes and making a wish. That shows the magic for sure! So precious!
