Going to surprise my wife with tickets to BMG. I assume center is best, but should I get AA(in poncho section), or would it be better to sit back a little farther, like A or B? Thanks for any input.

We saw them in Boston, front row center....truely a great spot and a fantastic show. If it is anything like the Boston theater, you really can't have a bad seat, because even if you aren't in the "wet zone" they do quite a bit of interactive things that you are part of the show. Good luck

Thanks for your answer. I guess my main concern about being in the very front(AA) was that the stage might be at a higher level making it harder to see everything.

Again, I can only speak about the Boston theater....

the stage was about 6 feet up, so we did have to look upward, however we were able to see the entire thing....they were all over the stage and in the audience, and it was all visable....really cool stuff!!

We just saw it in Boston, too!

Poncho section is good. We were 4 rows back, center poncho section. Seats on the aisle are cool, too.

Chepic, you're from RI?

What a small world :)

So am I!

Whereabouts are you?

I had 2nd row back (poncho section) to the left of the stage. I think it would have been better a little more to the center - but truthfully, there didn't appear to be any bad seats! If I get to go again in September (keep your fingers crossed) I'm going for poncho center :thumbsup2

send a pm to 2angels in heaven. she loves the blue man group and could tell more about it.

she posts a lot of pictures in the picture of the day thread on the forums.

she now has a blue tatoo of a hand on her back.

yup, she knows more about the blue man group seating than i do.

I agree with the "any seat is good" theory, which seems to be the consiensus of the many threads on this topic.

Personally, I think the "poncho section" is more marketing hype than anything else. The odds are fairly small that you'll actually need the ponchos (at least based on the shows I've seen, although I can see how the guys might get carried away on occasion) and I find the ponchos uncomfortable (remember how you feel wearing a rain poncho in the park on a muggy day?).

My personal preference is for a seat in the A section, dead center.

Having said that, if you're planning on seeing the show more than once, head for the very back of the house on the second viewing. You'll understand why during the finale.

Good point Kelly, I took my poncho off after about 5 minutes. It was so sticky that I thought I'd just take my chances with flying liquid:)

Macraven, thanks...=o)

I have seen the show tons, 19 times and I've got 2 more coming up in the near future. I have sat in Poncho AA and BB, row A and row U. I most certainly have never had a "bad" seat at all, however I do have a strong prefernce for poncho as a big part of the show for me is seeing the facial expressions of the Blue Men. Sitting in AA I've only been hit by flying stuff once.

so glad you checked into some of the BMG threads.

you know more about them than i do.

We liked the front row Right side of the Poncho section. I would definitely wear the poncho in this area, as we were squirted with stuff several times. Our favorite reason for liking this row though was the interaction. The Blue Men were down around us several times and I wound up on stage for one part of the show. I can't tell you what happened as that would spoil the show! :cool1: But it was awesome!!

We would definitely go again!!

That stage gets really slippery with all the gunk on it. I don't know how they can stand up by the end of the show.

We saw the show in March and we sat in row B off to the right a little and man they were great seats!!!:cool1:

We're returning this Nov and taking our son and his gf and sooo looking forward to seeing it again!:woohoo:
