According to universalorlando.com, the Blue Man Group will be at Universal Studios from June 2007.

However, admission to their show isn't included in your theme park ticket - it's extra. In fact, you have to pre-book.

I've read a little bit about them, but am finding it difficult to understand what they are all about.

Can anyone help? Are they worth booking to see? Well, that's assuming they're still there in December! :goodvibes

Hi! I saw the original Blue Men Group 4 years ago in Las Vegas - since then there have been 'franchised' shows in various countries (they were in London - not sure if the show's still running) with different performers acting as the Blue Men Group, but I'm sure they're just as much fun! It's a very loud and bright performance show - no talking- and very funny, with a bit of audience participation. If you sit near the front you have to wear a plastic cape incase you get covered in 'stuff'! (we had capes but didn't get wet or anything). They're definitely worth a visit. Afterwards, they were in the foyer for people to get autographs (or rather blue thumb prints!) on merchandise. DH and I really enjoyed it! I'm sure you will too.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. Very interesting :goodvibes

Dad and I went to see them in Las Vegas at the beginning of this month and I absolutely loved it. Dad enjoyed it but said he found it a bit loud in places - he is 60 though :lmao:

Give it a try and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Just one word of warning, the show does involve the use of strobe lights at the end so if that kind of thing causes you problems you might want to give it a miss.

Rock Concert Movement #10 - Ready, go! :yay:

If you have seen any shows by Cirque du Soleil (including the one at Downtown Disney, which also requires a separate ticket), you will almost certainly enjoy BMG. Their original, if eclectic, style of entertainment is hugely amusing and enjoyable, with live music, imaginative staging and a grand sense of style. It is definitely a theatre experience in its own right (hence it is a separate ticket at Universal) and one that is sure to be popular, so booking in advance will be essential. The theatre holds only around 1500, and it is certainly Universal's answer to the La Nouba show at Downtown Disney.

Booking are only being taken for June - August, so perhaps they will only be there for 3 months.

Or it could be that, as times goes on, tickets will be released for further months.

I've just found the following info:-

Blue Man Group and Universal Orlando Resort have just announced a new theatrical production will be opening at Universal Orlando Resort in June 2007! Blue Man Group will permanently occupy a newly created live performance venue accessible from both Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios with the show slated to open officially on June 7, 2006.

The words 'permanently occupy' suggest that they will be there for longer than 3 months.

I get the impression that they are adding to their 'franchise' of shows around the world so I would expect them to be there until further notice.

If anybody is thinking of going to see them there are package deals of theme park admission and show tickets here.

Yes, BMG will definitely be taking up permanent residence, as they are creating a whole purpose-built theatre in the old Nickelodeon Studios. Tickets will be available past August in the near future.
