Can you request waterside seating when you make BB ressies? We've been to BB several times and it's an absolute must for DH... but we've never sat anywhere near the water. What's the trick????

well im sure you can request them im not sure it works i know if you arive 30mins before or 20 you sya we want waterside seats and they usely get you in but i think if you ressi for it you can ask

I don't think you can request when you reserve, but if you show up 20 or 30 mins early for your reservation, you can definitely request then.

When making the reservation (Priority Seating) the guy really didn't care about seating (they aren't at the parks, they aren't at the restaurants, they have no control!) BUT mentioned that I was the first one who had made a PS for that time (11:30am, their earliest seating), and that if I checked in early it would be hard to NOT get waterside.

But we checked in early, requested it, and got it. They put all the early people at the water.

All that said, we liked it better away from the water. My 4 year old wasn't trying to leap over the fence for one, and I could see better b/c closer to the door it's lighter. Ever since having Lasik done I have horrible awful rotten light-to-dark-to-light vision, it takes ages for my eyes to adjust, and for the first 5 or 10 minutes sitting in BB I had very low vision (made worse by the ding dang candles blazing streaks on my retinas). Waterside is worth doing once, but it isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes!

Check in early and ask. They will do their best to seat you. :)

When we eat there, to insure a "water side" - what we do is get one of the first reservations for the dinner and get thre 20 minutes before. it almost 99% gets you in where you want to sit!!

Thank you to everyone for your responses. We've eaten at BB before and I agree with you Bumpershoot... the lighting is horrendous... but we haven't done waterside seating before, and I'd like to try it once :thumbsup2

What time is the FIRST dinner reservation/seating?

I read somewhere else that the waterside seating is only for groups up to 4. Is this true?

TIA

We were there on Fathers day and a couple got water side seating. They were there at 11:15 to put in their request for it and they got it!

We got waterside seats no problem. We had a 6:40 res and actually got to the restaurant at around 5:50 (we decided we didn't have time enough to risk another ride and not get back to the restaurant in enough time to ask for a waterside table). They had us at a table in under five minutes, in a perfect spot next to the water. Plus, because we were so early, we were done with dinner in enough time to see the parade. Yay for accidentally good planning!

I like this thread. I have PS for 2:40 on a Tuesday in August. It sounds like I can show up early and won't have any problem getting a waterside spot.

As others have said, show up at least 20 minutes early, request the water side table, and tell them that it doesn't matter how long you have to wait. It was worth the wait - except for the lunatic people on the boats taking flash pics of everyone eating at the restaurant. :scared1:

Get the first seating time available for lunch or dinner. Last week, we had a lunch reservation for 11:30 (first seating of the day). When I asked if we could have a waterside table, the CM told me all 11:30 reservations get waterside. I would also check in 20 minutes before your seating time, just to make sure. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't count on that though, if someone has a 12 PS and requests a waterside table checking in early, you may not get your waterside at 11:30. Just be sure to ask when you check in no matter what time your PS is for. :)

It was not true last November when my family of 5 had waterside seating at BB.

I've been to BB four times and each time had waterside seating. As other posters have mentioned, I got there early and requested it. Twice I have been told that it would be a long wait, I think 45 minutes to an hour, to be put on the list for waterside, instead of 10-15 for other seating, both times I said I didn't mind waiting and both times I was seated by the water within 20 minutes.

We ate there at the 11:30am seating on June 5th. When I checked in and requested a waterside table, the hostess told me that all 11:30am reservations were waterside tables. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but we didn't have a problem getting a waterside table.

Ate there yesterday and when I checked in about 10 min early for a 6:30 dinner, I requested a water table. They said it would be a 30-40 min wait, no big deal. Now the server's knowledge of the menu, that was a whole other horrendous experience.
