Does the Blue Bayou have a kids menu? I have seen other posts reference to a kids menu, but don't see any reference to it on websites that have menus posted.
So, does a kids menu exist? If so how much variety is on it? And what do prices generally run for it?

Thanks.

Sounds good! I have never ate there B4 was always scared it was WAAAAAY to much that doesn't look that bad actually, R the adult prices much more?

I don't want to look like a cheapskate, but I have had Gastric Bypass Surgery and probably won't even be able to finish a child's menu. Would they serve me a child's serving if I explain my situation?

I think its unlikely as they wouldnt allow our 10 yr old DD to have childs meal last year

The reason I ask is when we ate at Storyteller cafe a few months ago they allowed me to get the children's buffet. I have a card with me from my surgeon.

They are pretty strict at BB. They give you an option of buying a child's meal at adult prices. For example, my daughter ordered mac and cheese. They gave her a cup of gumbo, grapes, and mac and cheese for $19,99.

YES if you have a note from your dr you will be able to order a smaller portion of food.

This is not the policy, the policy is to allow anyone to order from the kids menu however you are to be charged double the price for double the food. We have done this at CO and at BB. Altho at BB the server did give me hard time we were able to do this.

She should have received twice the food.......or had a $2 up charge for the same amount of food.......

Having a medical reason to order from the kids menu is different from simply ordering from the kids menu. OP if you have your medical card you should not have any problems, if you do please speak with a manager.

I actually have the same situation, dined there two weeks ago. I asked the host, he said no, so I didn't bother asking the server. I brought tupperware with me and packed up 2/3 of the plate. Hope that helps.

I would ask if you want to! I wanted the short ribs, which wasn't on the kids menu anyway.:cutie:

I hadn't heard of a medical card. I feel self consciuos when I ask about low fat foods because I think people assume that it's some weight loss / diet fad. Instead it's because my body can't process fats since the doctor stole my gall bladder. They make me sick. Maybe I should ask my doctor about a medical card.
