We can't really afford to eat at BB, so we would like to just have dessert there to celebrate my Birthday. I can't find the prices listed anywhere. Does anyone know how much they are? Also, can I make reservations just for dessert?

Thanks, and sorry I am asking so many questions. This is the first trip I am planning on my own, I want it to go as smoothly as possible. :thumbsup2

Hmm, now that you say that, I can't find the pricing for desserts, either! I want to say they are somewhere between $8-12, but it's been a while since I ate there, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

You can absolutely make a reservation just to have dessert. It's the same as any other dining reservation, and you just get dessert when they come to take your order. You might want to try for an off-peak time, since you'll presumably already have had lunch or dinner. That would give you a better chance at a waterside table!

Have a great dessert date!

FYI, if you want the full experience for a lot less money, you can do a split plate! If you have them do it for you in the kitchen, you pay for the first full dinner/lunch, then only $12.99 for the second. They will split the entree in half on two separate plates, but you both get your own appetizer, bread and sides. My husband and I always do this when we go to BB, only because it's a lot of food, and we like to go get dessert somewhere else after! :) You can also always just order one dinner and ask for an extra plate to split it yourself at your table. You won't get the extra appetizer or extra sides, but it is still a good amount of food, especially if you plan to get dessert at the end. Could cost you as low as $24.99 (not including your drinks/dessert) that way! :thumbsup2 Enjoy! We LOVE Blue Bayou!! Neat experience!!

Thanks for the idea! :flower3: I am kinda weird though, and if I am going to have dinner there, I want to feel like I am not on a budget. And it will happen some day. But for now, I am OK with dessert. :goodvibes

Oh, plus we will have our kids with us, and I don't think they would eat there very well. I don't want to pay a ton for food they wont even eat.

I can't wait to see their faces when we go in for dessert though! :yay:

wait we can split plate with out the cost if were willing to not have 2 appetizers or sides? (oh man this is such good news me an my hubby can share thigns so much better and have room for deserts in stead of being so full. thats so cool ty never knew that and was just starting to think how to fit bb in.

Do they have the pirate cookie boat still?

No more cookie boats, huge bummer, i know! Apparently they got roof of them because they were tired of so many people making reservations and taking up space just food dessert, so they switched to plain desserts. I want the boats back! :D

But when you order just dessert you *should* be out of there much quicker, opening up your table for another party. We miss the cookie boat :sad2: We're dining at Goofy's Kitchen in Oct. and I'll let the kids choose between BB & Big Thunder BBQ *never been to the BBQ...

That would make sense, but i think the ambience keeps people longer than the maybe 10 mins it would normally take to easy a dessert. Goofys kitchen if great! W love it there!! :D

It is not splitting the plate it is "sharing" a plate. That way you do not get a split plate charge.
