BLT waitlist...

We were waitlisted for months for up to 7 days before our trip. I have been calling and checking the member website constantly. Happened to be driving to a gathering yesterday and my DH said something about our trip which triggered my "Oh, I have to call today!" reflex. Well...WE GOT IT! Four days out and we got the 1bdrm LV to go along with our Fri/Sat stay so now we don't have to change rooms!

Three nights in a 1bdrm LV at BLT then off for 5 nights in a 2bdrm at BWV's I so need this vacation

Congratulations!!! We leave on Friday for 3 nights at BCV, and then head to BLT for 3 nights, also in a LV 1 bedroom!!!!

It sounds like you will be heading to BWV around the same time we will be heading to BLT!!

We are so excited! My DD (12) really wanted to stay there...we originally booked a studio for the 4 of us and after reading about it being so small we decided to switch to a 1 bdrm. We could only get Fri/Sat night in the bigger room and wait listed for Thurs. I was not looking forward to checking in 3x in 8 days! Sooooo happy now

Congrats on the waitlist...just had one come through at just under 90 days for VWL. Not sure I would have had the patience to wait as long as you (plus I still don't have return flights booked 'cause I was waiting on firming up our departure day!)

The good thing is we will be able to compare space as my SIL has a standard studio booked at the same time - very curious to see the size difference

My kids are almost 16 and 12 (boy and girl) so the additional bed is crucial. I'm looking for our twin air mattress for them to fight over when we move to BWV - no way are they sharing a bed I seriously need to pack!!

Please send some of that pixie dust this way -- I have a BLT waitlisted for a few days of our trip in December. I know I know....busy time for DVC, so my chances are slim, but I got on the waitlist at about 9 months ahead, so I'm hoping I get lucky.

Yay for you! So nice to hear you got your waitlist! We have been on a waitlist for WLV OR BLT ( staying at BLT in Dec so would rather get the WLV) for about 2 months now and we go in Oct!
I hope we get one of them...the only thing available when we booked was SSR and it is not our favorite.....although I am happy that we got something!!

I thought Waitlist expires 31 days before arrival if you already have a reservation. We have 8 days reserved at BLT 1BR in August, our home (first time) but waitlisted BWV because we heard it was so wonderful for kids. We already have the Magic Express book and luggage tags for BLT. Are you telling me that this can still change up to 4 days before departure?(leaving Aug 24). What do you do then for the ME bus?

When you waitlist you have the option of 30 (could be 31) days or 7 days prior to arrival. You also have the option of having your ressie automatically changed or for MS to call to confirm. After the selected time has lapsed you would need to call MS to make the changes. As far as ME...there are time restrictions on when they can/will send out new tags, but I'm not sure of what they are. When I was thinking of changing resorts last year they told me I could just cross out the tags and rewrite the location - however, my luggage "would most likely arrive late".

BTW...our home resort is the BWV's and we LOVE IT!! My DD (12) wanted to try something different when we decided to add a few days to our original ressie. I absolutely love the BWV's, especially with our kids!!

The wait list will automatically end at day 31, unless you tell them to keep it in place until 7 days prior, which is the latest a wait list can stay in place.m Of course, you only would do that if you are waiting on something that is MORE points then what you have booked. If it is less points, you want to cancel it out at day 31 as those left over points would now be holding points.

The OP got her room by calling in after the wait list expired but before she left. She got it 4 days out, but not because it filled via a wait list.

If you leave it in place until 7 days prior and it comes in, you would simply NOT put on the yellow luggage tags. Instead, when you arrive at the ME desk, you would tell them that you are now going to BWV and hand them your luggage claim tickets. They will then retrieve it and send it off to BWV.

We snagged 2 nights at BLT at the 7 month window which was awesome! My kids were dying to stay there so we booked it as a surprise! I fell in love with the place!
