BLT waitlist 1 night 10/30 chances?

Good morning all, I am waitlisted for a BLT Lake View studio on 10/30-10/31. This would be the night I need to complete a 5 night stay, and it is right in the middle of my trip. Right now I have 2 separate reservations for each "end."

My question is twofold--anyone have any idea what my chances are of getting the waitlist cleared? I know that time is very popular, I've been on DVCmember.com constantly checking availability for any type of accomodation at BLT for that one night.

Also, if it does clear, is there a way they can merge the 3 separate reservations that will result and merge them into a single one for ease of check-in/check-out?

I'm not sure I can give you much insight as to how easy the night will be to secure. I ahve had a LOT of experience combing mutliple stays under one reservation. Generally, it goes off just fine. If you watch your reservations online while they are doing it, it gets a bit scary as nights "disappear" only to reappear under one reservation. It usually takes them several minutes to combine them so they put you on hold while it's being done. I have rarely had CM's who didn't know how to do it and just "linked" the reservations. In that case, I just call back and try to get someone else to combine them.

I was on a wait list for lake view. I got lucky because it took about 2 weeks. They merged the reservations into 1 for us. I keep the conformation numbers on my phone so i have easy access to them. I have 3 conformations on my phone. I have my fingers crossed and may the show up for you.

Well this is the time period that people cancel before the 30 mark. And since you have lake views listed there is a potential for more of that room type to become available. And since you only need one day, it's possible.

I would check every few hours to see if anything is available. Good luck.

Note regarding combining your reservation, it can only be done for the same room and view type. So if you find a theme park room you would have to move.

I had the same situation for a BLT Lake View in august and the last night we needed came up online at about the 6 day mark. I was checking every few hours . I then called MS and had them put the nights together so no one had to change rooms. I did end up with points in holding because I had a backup reservation that I had to cancel I did not want to take the chance of losing the night I needed so booked it online first and then cancelled the back up night. For us it is not a problem because we are in Florida 6 months of the year and will be able to use the points in the 60 day window at some point. Good luck and may you get some pixie dust.

Thanks every one, I am hoping it will clear! I may book a cash reservation as a back up but BLT prices are steep! That's why we joined DVC!!
