After looking at a couple of renderings of the new BLT (and I am very familiar with the site), I am wondering if anyone has any ideas where the standard view villas will be located? Maybe there's a map somewhere? Thanks.

I don't believe there is a map yet. However, our guide indicated that the Standard View rooms would be primarily the lower floors. That would leave Lake View rooms as the upper floors on the inside of the "C" and on the outside of the "wings". MK View would be the upper floors on the MK side. I have heard that the breakdown is something like 15% SV, 20% MKV, and 65% LV. I doubt we'll know the particulars until very close to opening.

I would think between mid lobby and the bottom of the "C" exterior towards the Contemporary will be most of the standard views.

Two years ago when we were at WL, Disney changed their room categories/views for all of their resorts. They sent teams into every room and they got very creative. If the view was 95% parking lot and 5% trees, the room was changed from a parking lot view, to a forest view.

I would expect DVD to do the same.

what they did before AKV - was to rent the rooms to the general public - if they open early. (this is a big IF)

My guess is that it is the lower floors of the of the Front/MK side of the building. If it is 20% MKV and 11% SV then 2/3 of the front of the building would be MKV and the lower 1/3 would be SV? So floors 1-5 or 4? There might be only parking lot view at that level. The 5 floor is the same level as the 4th at CR. Anyone have a pic of the view from the concourse? Just a guess on my part. IF it is the case there might be some interesting debate about rooms on the border between the MKV and SV.

At first I thought it would be the exterior rooms toward the CR but there was a little tidbit that made me change that thought. There are not SV GVs but the GV go all the way around the exterior. I'm assuming that a least on the mid-upper exterior floors will not be SV. This goes along with jbrowna's guide's comment.

I remember a number of 20% of the rooms being MK view as the official statement.

However my guess:

That number seems small for the size and orientation of it. I suspect there will be more rooms that will have a good view of MK and the fireworks from the balcony than that 20%, just not from inside the room. In more or less the same way Boardwalk has a Boardwalk view that more or less guarantees Epcot fireworks, but you can see Illuminations from a good number of the standard view rooms and the finish ones from Fantasmic from some of the parking lot ones.

I believe this is the view from the concourse level (4th floor) at the CR. So it would be similar view from the 5th floor of BLT@DCR.

Well, I would be happy with that view! Of course, I'm not buying BLT, so if I ever get to stay there, I will be happy with whatever I get!

The breakdown of the BLT villas that I was given while visiting the models is:

Standard View (SV) - 11%
Bay Lake View (LV) - 69%
Magic Kingdom View (MK) - 20%

In looking at the conatruction-to-date it appears that the top 2 floors on the MK side are only GVs. I did not get a look at the "inside" of the "C", but the top floors on the outside of the structure also appear to have GVs based on the 2 story windows for the Living Room. There will be 14 GVs at BLT - with 6 having MK view and the other 8 with Lake View. If those numbers are correct, there won't be any GVs on the "inside" of the "C".

At the CR Tower, there are no guest rooms at or below the Concourse Level so all of the rooms on the MK side do have a MK view without obstruction - even the monorail does not obstruct the view since it travels behind those rooms inside the CR until it crosses the MK area at the level of the train tracks and bus stop. The Concourse level (4th floor of the CR) corresponds to the 5th floor of the BLT. All of the villas below the 5th floor at BLT will be obstructed (at least partially) by the monorail track.

I have not seen any detailed information about the view layouts, but based on the percentages I was given above and my own observations of the construction site, it appears that only the villas on the outside of the "C" facing the MK will have MK or SV - with the 6th floor and above as MK view and 5th floor and lower as SV villas (could even be 5th floor/above/below).

IMO, the lower floors on that side will still have a view of the fireworks, but minimal views of MK as far as the castle goes.

The remaining outside villas (top and bottom of the "C"), I think will be LV although a few may have an indirect (think - lean over the balcony and look way to the left/right) MK view. Of course, none of the inside "C" villas will have MK view.

I think may will be very pleasantly surprised with most of the LV villas. We often dine at CA Grille and really enjoy being seated in the Wine Room on the Bay Lake side of the restaurant. (Of course, the MK side is pretty special too!)

Stay tuned - we may not really know the exact view configuration for awhile, but it's fun to speculate ! :)

Thanks! I agree that SV would be the lower levels facing the MK and parking lot. I am impressed that you are able to figure out the location of the GV from these photos!

While I am not buying BLT (especially after today's Wall Street plunge) I hope to be able to stay there someday.
