Anyone recently stay at a 1 bedroom at BLT who can give me a report? I'd love to hear both good and bad. I am very excited about staying here in October. More so than any other resort. However, I've heard that the interior is kind of run down (furniture, rugs).

Thanks!

We were there in march. They were a bit run down. Our shower had some problems that were fixed. The toilet roll dispenser was coming off the wall--also fixed. Rug was worn, but clean. Beds were comfy and linens nice. Seemed a bit more cramped than other villas. Lobby was cool and clean. Check in seamless and all requests fulfilled.

The pool was clean and quite busy. I loved the views of the lake from the pool area. It was great walking over to the contemporary to shop and eat. We really enjoyed contempo cafe and the coffee bar in the lobby. Try the donuts! Hubby said the gym was old and not so nice.

Walked to Mk every time we went. Fabulous! Monorail to other monorail resorts was quick and easy.

Community hall was great. Welcome bag of goodies for the kids. Lots of movies for loan.

No outside pizza delivery. Bummer because we really enjoy flippers every trip.

Glad we tried it and enjoyed our stay but won't book again. Like animal kingdom way more as well as Saratoga.

It is not my favorite - the pool area is way too small and way too crowded. This is a big disappointment if you are there during swimming season. Kids loved the slide, but its funness is greatly diminished by the tiny pool packed with people. Oddly, when we were there, people hardly used the awesome splashground - no toddler in sight, and I was surprised!

The rooms were spacious, but a little too modern to be comfortable.
The skywalk to shopping/dining at the CR is great - all the great amenities, but your building is super quiet. You can also catch fireworks if you cant make it to TOWL and the walk to MK is also QUICK. The walk is so convenient that it makes the wait/board/ride of the monorail tedious - doubly if you are going to Epcot. Probably very worth it if your kids are in strollers.

I think this would be a great December resort, with a lot of MK days planned!

We at BLT once but it wasn't my family's favorite by far. The Good...enjoying the fireworks from our balcony, looking out the window and seeing MK, and being able to jump on the monorail and visiting the MK and MK resorts. The bad...Lack of themeing (too apartment-like), having to walk to the CR for everything, no nighttime activies. We feel in love with BWV and found that BLT was very boring in comparison since we love the evening excitement at the Boardwalk.

Our furniture was in good condition, but the living room furniture (other than the sleeper chair) is horrible for sitting. The sofa was horrible for sitting and the brown wooden chair is a waste of money.

If you are inside the C and you come back to the villa during the day, you will get lots of noise from the pool area with the all day long games and stuff. At night, the water parade and fireworks make a lot of noise, too. And you don't even see the fireworks from inside the C.

We had no problem with parking and walking to the MK was a breeze.

We were there last week in a 2-bedroom, and pleasantly surprised! Yes, there was some wear-and-tear inside the villa, but honestly, I've seen the same thing at other Disney resorts (DVC and not). So nothing that completely turned me off. We loved the Bay Cove pool, the location, really everything. I'd go, enjoy it, and form your own opinion on the place. I'm glad we did, and we will be back!

We stayed in a 1BR (standard view) a couple of weeks ago. I personally loved it and can't really report on any negatives.

I thought our room was very clean and not worn. I personally love the modern/contemporary style, so I was pretty pleased -- and I LOVED the artwork throughout our room and the resort.

I loved the location (i.e., walking to MK), but in all honesty, I prefer the Epcot resorts area a little more.

I agree that the pool is a little small and crowded, but you can walk over to the CR if you want.

The only real negative I can think of was that the lighting in the master bathroom wasn't good for putting on makeup -- they really need a makeup mirror at the very least. The lighting in the other bathroom would be absolutely horrible for putting on makeup if you had to use that one (the way the light casts shadows on your face -- it's very odd). That's the only negative that I can think of.

Like I said, we personally loved it, but with that said, we'll be at BWV next time (I will definitely stay at BLT in the future, though).

We have stayed twice in a 1bdrm and once in a 2bedrm.

We prefer the rooms on the outer side. The kids like the bar stools and pie shaped living area better than with the inside room more closet space which we don't need.

I do prefer to walk to CR for pool and hot tubs.

The talking elevators are my favorite feature:thumbsup2

We have a teen b&g so extra bathroom is great.:worship:

We love walking to MK.

We enjoy the fun modern theme. Yep the orange triangle plates are cute. I have to eat my snack on them to get that Contemporary experience.

The views are great from any room. So close to Bay Lake, Seven seas lagoon and MK so you can hear and see many things.:lovestruc

Rooms a little the worn but they all are. I have slept on sleeper and is comfy and ds at 5"11 loves the twin chair sleeper.

We love this resort and will be back again!

We have stayed at many of the resorts and by FAR BLT is our most favorite. We stayed in a 2 bdrm and loved everything about it. Seriously we had not one complaint. We have a very modern home so we felt comfortable here. The GF is just way to stuffy and victorian feel for us. Poly we liked alot as well, really felt like you were in Hawaii. But, BLT is just sooooo nice.

Lucky you, have fun!!

Cannot comment on a 1bdrm cause we stayed in a studio but overall we were not impressed with BLT and will not go back anytime soon.

Plusses: Location, view from the higher up rooms and access to the monorail.

Minuses: No Disney feel, poor quality of the materials in the rooms, very cramped feeling in the studios.

We had three adults in a studio and it was CRAMPED to say the least. Did not like the layout of the room and for a brand new resort the wear and tear on the room was astounding. The pool was uninspiring but hey...you can't beat the location and the view from our 8th floor balcony looking south over to Epcot and the Wilderness Lodge was wonderful.

We agree with you. BLT is our favorite resort. Look, feel, location, everything. We've stayed in the 1BR and Grand Villa. We liked the rooms a lot. Both were great. 1BR has plenty of room for our family of 5.

My family and I just got back from staying at BLT (June 13-19). We stayed in a studio room with a lake view and we LOVED it. We loved the resort so much we plan on booking again once the 2014 prices come out (July 10)!!:cool1: I was actually nervous about staying here reading all the negative reviews but once we got there....the resort was perfect for our family. I loved the modern and clean feel. Our room did not have any signs of wear and tear. Everything was in good condition. The pool was perfect for our family and my boys (ages 6 and 2) couldn't get enough of the slide. I never felt like the pool was overly crowded and we always could find a lounge chair. The pool always had entertainment and games going on for the kiddies. We loved walking down to the walkway that connected to the Contemporary to watch Wishes!! They even piped in the music. Every night they have a movie playing on the lawn. We did this one night as they were showing Wreck it Ralph (my boys favorite movie) and they handed out glow sticks which was an added bonus. We LOVED walking to the Magic Kingdom!!! It can't be beat!! Overall, we will be staying here again and we can't wait!! :)

Our family loved BLT so much we changed the following trip to include some nights there as well. I did t expect to live it but we did.

Yikes! I'd never put three adults in a studio at BLT. Even two might be pushing it. Those studios are really small.

BLT is my favorite. We went in August and the pool was empty. My kids had full rein of the pool slide with no line. My mom complained about the elevator, not that anything was wrong with it, but that it's not like most of the other resorts where you can walk out your door and be on your way. She said it felt more like a Holiday Inn, waiting for the elevator and going down to a big parking lot, etc. We loved the view (MK) although you see as much or more of the parking lot as you do the MK. Loved the monorail! Didn't use the walking path too much bc it was too much on Mom. By the time we got to the front gate, she was done walking for the day! Our room was in good condition, but the floor lamp had dust on it.

cheap don't stay in 1-bedroom - only studios - but have seem them

what type of villa did you get - standard, Lake view or theme park view?

now have a problem with heights - so would never do this for me - get as high as possible - even number room

the inside c - where the pool (and the noise) are odd numbered rooms.

the furniture seems like it was in bad shape as soon as it opened..... but the inside c is definitely worst.

Totally loved BLT! We (DH, me, DD7, DS4) stayed in a studio on the 4th floor last month. We were in the very back of the "C". It was very quiet! I really didn't expect to like it as much as I did! Of course the location can't be beat . We loved the proximity to everything. We ate at Contempo Cafe a few times. The kids begged to eat at Chef Mickey every time though! Lol!
