Just thought I would post my thoughts because I read so many comments about the size of the room that I was terrified our vacation would be miserable.

We stayed in a lake view studio from 3/9-3/19. Two adults, an 8, 6, and 18 month old. We had 5 suitcases, one stroller, and we used the pack and play.

We stacked the empty suitcases by the door and that is where we also kept the stroller. At night, we put the pack and play at the end of the bed. There was enough room between the pack and play and entertainment center to walk past the pack and play and go to the bathroom if necessary. We opened the pullout couch each night and folded it up in the morning.

Our typical schedule involved visiting a park in the morning, coming back after lunch to change or rest for a bit before hitting the pool. We would then come back to the room and get ready to go back out to dinner. I am writing this to give an idea of how much time we spent in the room.

Did we have a ton of space? Absolutely not. However, it was more than enough for our needs. If you are used to staying in a one bedroom or if you plan on spending lots of time in your room, then this may not work for you.

I will admit that I am looking forward to our next trip during which we are staying in a bedroom! I think with 5 ppl the washing machine alone will make it worth it! However, if you are short on points or trying to conserve (as we were), the studio at BLT can definitely be done.

Hope this helps! I will also say that I really liked BLT, much more than I thought I would.

Thanks for reporting back. Glad you had a good trip! :thumbsup2

I totally agree that it can be done quite easily. We are four adults and we stay in a studio 99% of the time and our average stay is right around 10 nights.

Sounds like you approached the trip with exactly the right attitude - you expected the studio to be cozy and just dealt with it. Hopefully it helped to know prior to the trip that the studio is small, thus it wasn't a surprise upon arrival. That's a great story!

Im glad to hear that this worked for your family of five...with our growing family...and still the same number of points I think we will still be in a studio (just to be conservative and to have longer stays) for quite so time to come...

GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOUR VACATION

As long as the fifth person is under the age of three, you can do a studio. But if all five are age three or older, you won't be able to stay in a studio.

thanks for this post...just a quick question for you..how was the drawer space in the BLT studio?
We stay in a studio for at least a week, and we are 2 adults and 2 kids, and the lack of drawer space seems to be a challenge...just wondering if you had any tips for us? Thanks

blt has drawer space

boy glad your trip was great. was worried that you would come back and say how you hated BLT because of the small place.

isn't it great walking to the MK.

did you ride the monorail to Epcot - was it ever closed before you left Epcot. (the resort monorail not the epcot one).

Good for you! I'm glad you had such a great stay in a studio at BLT.

To think that I booked a studio there for myself just to see how it would work from DH, myself and a DGS who will be 7 when he comes with us in August.:lmao: Needless to say, I think the 3 of us will do just fine, too!

You have proven that if you also pack patience and good humor, all things are possible. You are an inspiration. Thank you for a positive post about BLT studios.:thumbsup2
