BLT or VWL and discount help

I am going to WDW the end of January 2013 and either want to stay in a 2BR villa at VWL or BLT. There is a room available at BLT already. I am hoping for some sort of discount, PIN, GP, or AP. Does anyone know about this time of year and the discounts? I have always gone at the start of December. Don't know if I should take the BLT room now to be sure I have one or wait until the DVC window approaches. We are going through Disney (would rent points but with a little one, you never know what might happen between now and then).

Any thoughts would help?

There are often decent discounts in late January. Whether they would apply to VWL and BLT is unknown. Sometimes villas at various locations, or of various sizes are either not included, or they won't be available. Especially at a smaller resort like VWL.
