BLT is Doing the Single Digit Dance

The view when you walk into the room is literally perfect (this picture isn't great, but it shows how you can see the castle right when you walk into the room).

The castle was still changing color at 6:20 in the morning

The view of the pool, taken from a window near the elevators

I've been taking pics of the monorail all day

Walking under the slide is so cool

The pool was great. Didn't wait to ride the slide (because it wasn't open that early), but it looked like fun.

I love monorail coral!

Well, that pretty much covers it for now. I really like BLT, this view is amazing, and the features of a 1-bedroom villa are fantastic (full fridge, jacuzzi tub, separate shower). I would definitely come back here.

I noticed that you requested the 'northern' side.........does that offer a better view of the Magic Kingdom? Your photos are amazing and I can't wait to be there in 2 weeks!

If you have a Magic Kingdom view, you're basically guaranteed to be in the middle section of BLT. However, there are still some differences between the northern part of the middle and the southern part of the middle. This is due to the curve of the C-shape and the location of the original CR tower.

In a room that is more "northern"
-You will see slightly less of the CR main tower, because you're not directly facing it
-You will see more of Polynesian
-You will be directly facing the castle, so you don't have to be all the way on your balcony or by the window to see it (that's why I posted the view as we walked in our room)

In a room that is more "southern"
-You will see slightly more of the CR main tower
-You will see less of Polynesian (because it will be blocked by the main CR tower)
-You won't be directly facing the castle, so you have to be on the balcony or stand closer to the windows to see it (because MK is facing the other way)

We like seeing Poly across the water, and having a more direct view of the castle is a no-brainer. So we requested high floor, northern facing, and got it. We're thrilled with our view.

When a monorail is coming from MK to CR, I like waiting in anticipation so I can see what color it is (this second, monorail silver is stopping at CR). Or, I'm pleasantly surprised when a monorail comes popping through the CR on its way to MK. I've been watching them all day! (if I remember correctly, today I saw red, green, yellow, orange, lime, coral, gold, and silver on the resort/express lines).

Do you know if they are selling any of those Minnie lithos in the gift shop? DW said she wanted one after we got the matching Mikey from my parents who had it as a DVC advertising promo in their room @ Wilderness Lodge back in Feb.... It would be even better if we get a free one when we are staying there in Nov., but that seems SOOO far off at the moment!!!

I love watching the Contemporary tower "swallow" all the monorails. You can't see that from the MK view in the original building!

Is it possible to faint from jealousy? I think I just did. My mother would be so ashamed.

Bummer. I so wanted a polo and some piece of wall art (I have a 5x7 of Wilderness Lodge that we bought framed to 8x10 there for about $35 that I was hoping to get a BLT version of) + Minnie for E. Well, there's always EBay and I can also hope they make something available by the time we're there!

Ahh, that is beautiful!! It reminds me of my stay at the CR, MK view. I had a view of the castle from my pillow. It was bliss!

You know I see the lamp there in front of the windows.. On Jack Spence's blog on AllEars he shows how he moved the lamp over from in front of the windows to the side of them to let the view show better:

It is kinda odd that they put the lamp there. I'll be moving ours over too when we stay there I think.

Wonderful views!!! What room are you in? It is 1 bedroom? We think the lakeviews will be the best. Hope to stay there soon and even better, add on!!

That's a good idea - took that pic when we first arrived, but the lamp is moved now. That definitely improves the view!
