BLT Home Resort Question

I don't mean to be picky, but wrestling with strollers on the buses is not fun. I'm going to avoid the buses like the plague for our next trip. Give me a walk, a monorail ride, or a boat. Obviously, stroller are a short-term issue when you talk about the length of a DVC contract. But, isn't convenience part of the reason for buying into DVC?

And that same benefit is available to those booking the resort at 7 months.

I think the future will show that MK walking distance DVC resorts need an 11 month window more than any others.[/QUOTE]

Doubt it. History has shown that members don't consistently book resorts to capacity before the 11 month window. The only resort where this is really an issue is BCV which has lower point costs than BLT, about 1/3 fewer villas and access to Stormalong Bay.

There will be small pockets of time where BLT is harder to book but that's perhaps 10% of the year.

Don't get me wrong--I'm not trying to put-down BLT as a destination. If people are attracted by the style of the accommodations, the balcony views, the location--then it's certainly a destination worth considering. But in my opinion, anything related to the benefits to or preferences of small children should be disregarded altogether. That value represents only a small fraction of the entire ownership period. DVC is the ultimate long-term commitment. Gotta think big picture.
