BLT Help

We are going to be at BLT for our first time and had a couple of questions I hope a fellow DVC'er can help with. Is the checkin at the main CR dest or does BLT have it's own checkin desk? Also we wanted to see the MK fireworks from BLT after a day at Food and Wine. Does anyone know what a good time would be to get back by in order to beat the crowd to the observation area? Is it that crowded?

Thanks, we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary and went to WDW on honeymoon staying at the Contemporary. Haven't stayed there since, want to have a fun time!!

you check in at the CR front desk.

there have hardily been any crowds - so would guess a half hour. time enough to order drinks before the firework start

You have to go to the first floor and they take you up. If you go to the observation deck stop in the lounge and buy a drink. We where their last week and it was almost empty and I fear that disney will take this over for corporate parties if this continues to be empty.

As stated you go to first floor and they use their card to take you up to the 16th floor. Awesome view. It was not crowded-please go into the lounge and purchase a drink-any kind-so we as members don't lose this beautiful spot. After the fireworks everyone disappears. The lounge is so nice enjoy it.
Also, check-in is in the CR-we missed the usual" Welcome Home" greeting-our cast member who checked us in had zippo personality.

After check in, do they escort you to your room, or are you on your own? If you check in at about 7:30 pm, where can you grab something quick to eat?
