BLT Booked!

Just booked BLT Lake View Studio for Sept, they only had lake view available. It's my first time staying here, any tips as I'll only be here for 3 nights

I'm looking forward to checking out the Lounge as I've read the views are phenomenal and being close to MK.

I always request a higher floor, better views from the balcony of the lake. If you want convenience the foot bridge to CR is on the 5th floor you could try to request that if that is more important to you. I love the walk to MK and the bus stop to all resorts is right there! We always take the boat over to VWL and the Ft. You should check out the electric light boat parade 1 night if you have not seen it. That goes by BLT around 9:30 - 9:45 I believe check when you check in. They have movies outside which looked cool also. My teen DD's love just riding the monorail and checking out all the resorts. Enjoy I love BLT.

Thank you for your comments! I did request a high floor and didn't realize MK was in walking distance, very cool Also didn't realize the lounge was only for DVC members or those staying on points, nice!

Congrats on your booking...we too will be there in September (8/31-9/9) and are staying in a studio overlooking BL. I haven't put in a request yet, but I think I am going to request highest floor possible, I would also like to look towards WL since you can see Epcot in the distance that way there I can watch some of their nightly fireworks. Have a great trip.

We'll be there too! I just changed our trip from Jun 24-Jul 8 to Aug 19-Sept 3. For the first week we are in a Savannah View Studio at AKV Kidani Week two is at BLT in a Lake View Studio (its all they had). We have stayed at AKV several times before but this is our first stay at BLT. Can't wait to try it out!

I stayed at BLT for the first time 3 weeks ago. It seems obvious to say, but I couldn't have been happier about staying on the monorail. It was SOOOOO nice to stay in MK until we were dog tired, and then had a 2 minute monorail ride direct to our room! It made life so much easier with the kids.

I have heard alot of folks say that they were unhappy with the lack of a theme at the hotel, but in my opinion, looking out any window and seeing Bay Lake, 7 seas lagoon, or MK was 100 times more exciting than the other themed resorts I have stayed at (don't get me wrong, they were nice too!)

Perhaps I am in the minority judging by the comments I have read on these boards, but I couldn't be more excited to go back to BLT. Hope you like it as much as my family did.

The Wave Restaurant, on the first floor of the Contemporary, is a hidden gem IMHO. Nice bar area, quiet eating area, excellent food. Great breakfast buffet too.

I'm really excited now after reading the comments! That's the beauty of these boards it gets us pumped and ready for our magical trip..yay!

DGS asked for BLT stay with us before out DCL cruise in August. I was able to get a BLT standard view studio for us!I had a total of 5 nights at BLT this past January. That resort rocks! It's not a home resort for us, so I do feel very lucky when we get a chance to stay there!

I understand the anxiety, my aunt is coming with us and I started bugging her about her work schedule prior because I wanted to book asap! I wanted to stay here REALLY bad since it's always been booked in the past. I hope you get your ressie

Any kids? Our Dnieces really enjoyed the community hall.

You can get refills for your refillable mugs (if you do the dining plan) at the pool or at the Contempo Cafe at CR.

If you are taking the bus from CR/BLT to a park, it's faster to get to the bus stop by taking the elevator from to the first floor and walk out the south elevator lobby door or front door and following the sidewalk to the front of CR. Many people walk the skywalk to CR take the escalators to the 1st floor of CR and then have to go back outside to the bus stop.
