BLT Bamboo Garden?

I may be losing my mind…it’s been over 3 years since I’ve been at BLT, but I distinctly remember a beautiful bamboo garden leading to the pool. It now looks like it’s been replaced by some sort of tree?

Does anyone know about why this change occurred? Just curious!

Last time we were there (December) they were trimming the bamboo back. They were getting very high and to me looked a bit unhealthy. Didn’t get to see the finished result.
