BLT -- A Sandwich or a Resort? Nov 09 TR (12/9 Lessons Learned)

Good News!!

I just found out that the Osborne Lights will now open on November 10th!! This means that we can see them.

(If you remember, we wanted to go in Dec but couldn't get in BLT)

Bad News!!

I just bought our November tickets today and they are not Park Hopper. I chose to add the Water Parks instead. But the tickets that I was going to trade/upgrade in July are PH. (I know...I just confused you all...but I thought I'd buy our tickets in advance for both trips...one to upgrade to DVC AP and one for our Nov trip + future weekend trip with WPs added to it that won't expire).

Now to figure this all out...We have 3 days...was going to do MK 2 days and Epcot 1 day...

Should we do HS instead of Epcot? instead of 2nd MK day? bite the bullet and add PH to the WP tickets?

ARGHHH!

It's too late...I'm going to bed to think about this...

Osborne lights are amazing!!!!

I would either add the PH to them or only do MK one day

It is not like you will not be back again:goodvibes

I would not skip Epcot.

I would skip MK 2nd day

Epcot World Showcase is beautifully decorated. Plus it has all different Storytellers in each land(Santas)

If you do not want to spend PH money..then do one day at Epcot, one at DHS and one at MK

Your girls will love Playhouse Disney there and Little Mermaid Show. Muppets is cute show.

The are things for them to do there. A lot of cool character meets, too.

I would have to agree with Kelly....you can't miss Epcot and the Santas! (I haven't yet been lucky to see them but it sounds wonderful)

OK, so I woke up this morning and said:

MK 2 days
HS 1 day

no park hopper.

There. That was my plan.

Now, you guys got me rethinking Epcot...but will all the Santas create hazoc for a 4 yo who totally believes in just one Santa???

At this point, I'm waiting to see how much the tickets increase...how much to add on PH, etc. Then I'll have to work out the numbers.

With the MVMCP going on 2 out of the 3 nights we are going to be there, we may just want to get PH so we can do Osborne lights again and/or the Christmas Illuminations show.

Nah...I dont think it would cause confusion. It is not like they are right next to each other. Santa is magical and can go from land to land in seconds.:santa:

Plus he needs to changes his clothes to go with culture of other children in the world ;)

Decorations there are just gorgeous

Maybe Park Hoppers are the way to go then...

Let us know what u decide :goodvibes

Ok, take a look at this and what does it remind you of...

Any chance the Imagineers were having some fun at the BLT and made the hot tub to look like a piece of toast?

So, when you're in the hot tub on a warm day you're "bacon".

If you don't use sunscreen you'll look like a "tomato"

C'mon, "lettuce" go to this resort!

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

(I found this on another thread called BLT Beach and can't take full credit...just the bacon and lettuce ones were mine...)

And another one.....

if you put on too much sunscreen, you'll be the mayonnaise!

So DH and I sat down to review our schedule for November trip, since hours should come out tomorrow! :cool1:

He said we should go to MK, DS and Epcot and concentrate on the Christmas stuff. We know we won't be able to see everything but we'll obviously be back again.

His restaurant choices:

MK - Crystal Palace
Epcot - Garden Grill
DS - None, we'll do 1900 Park Fare for dinner before going back to DS

I'm subscribing! I can't wait to hear about BLT....I'm really glad it wasn't the sandwich. I HATE tomatoes! :rotfl:

That's great. Sounds like a good plan :thumbsup2

I loved the Garden Grill. Such fresh food and nice quiet Character interaction:goodvibes

Crystal Palace...Can't stay away from your good Pal, Pooh Can you ;)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I won't be able to go in the hot tub without thinking of this! I've got a reservation for a studio lake view for December (with the 40% off pin for annual passholders!) so can't wait to hear your report and see your pictures!

Welcome!!! I'm off scrapbooking today and tomorrow!!! Woo hoo!! But I'll be back to write up some more, once the Nov hours come out and I can put a schedule together.

I'm biting the bullet...but since I made an autograph page for Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger, we got to go now!

yep, I'm going to be thinking the same thing when I go in the hot tub. (I'll be the nerdy girl in the tub making these cracks about B-L-T and M.):rotfl:

Park hours still aren't up so I'm leaving to go cropping (after I nurse Elie).

Oh, and all that frustration I had over which tickets to buy? Well, I figured it out last night -- I saved $174 by purchasing the tickets through UT. I'm still waiting to see what the new price will be for the DVC AP, so it may go down a bit. But still: :cool1:

Oooh, I love those moments where all the research and planning pay off!!!!

They normally take one or two days after they are supposed to be up to actually get posted on their website

Wish they would release them like a week before you can make adrs

Makes it hard to pick adrs if you do not know hours.
