At dh work they were asking for stories of employees or family members who have received blood this year as they want to encourage employees to donate at the next blood drive in December. Well of course I told dh I would contribute a little story...and they accepted it!! I know dh has to edit some of it and they want me to come in for a picture and they will put it in the work newspaper and on the web. I told them how I had the 3 pints of blood when my bone marow shut down last sept. and then when I almsot died in January during the cancer surgery and my jugular vein burst and I had to have the 7 transfusions.(lots of you read that thread and my updates I am sure)
So please dont forget to give blood if you can. It is something you can do that doesnt take too much time and can really help save the life of someone...I thank God I am here today because of the 10 people who gave the gift of life.
