Block Party "guests"

How many can you bring?

I am NEVER in Orlando with anyone other than my DH and kids, but this year there's potentially going to be quite a few people (Florida residents) with me...possibly two adults and 6 kids, ranging in age from 1 - 12. I have no idea at this point what their plans might be for that afternoon/evening, but I'd like to know if I can feel comfortable including them in this event. One of the adults is my niece, who will be arriving that day from Tallahassee with my DD, who is down there now working as a nanny for her 4 kids.

Do "guests" also get entrance into Pleasure Island? I'm assuming, of course, that the little kids won't be sticking around, but any combination of adults might if another one takes the kids back to wherever they're staying (offsite...we're not going to also try to fit everyone into a DVC studio ).

I don't know.

I think to get in your must show your DVC member ID. but I am not even sure guests are included. Especially offsite guests.

I would call MS and ask.

However, I can't find any more information than that on the DVC website. The only information I found there is:

Members will be seizing the night this summer like never before, participating in a series of Member Block Party gatherings at Pleasure Island taking place each Tuesday, beginning July 5th and through August 23rd.

Enjoy free carnival games and treats plus entertainment from street performers and a live DJ. The complimentary gatherings, taking place from 5-7 p.m. at the east end of Pleasure Island (outside Rock ' n' Roll Beach Club and inside Motion), let Members mix and mingle with their Disney neighbors before enjoying complimentary Pleasure Island admission, "rocking the block" and experiencing the island's themed entertainment and dance clubs into the night. Only those attending the Member Block Party will receive complimentary admission to the island. Please show your Member ID Card to gain entrance into this exclusive event.

Please note that Guests must be 18 years old or older to enter Pleasure Island nightclubs after 7 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Some Pleasure Island clubs are open only to Guests ages 21 or older.

We went last Tuesday and had 6 guest. We showed our members card and said they (the other family) was with us. Not a problem. They were treated just as we were... given envelopes with coupons inside, wrist bands for Pleasure Island. We had a lot of fun. We went 2 weeks. Mickey ice cream bars for free, yum! The only trouble we had was getting over there from BCV. The bus was late, then when it came it was full. The bus driver would not allow anyone else on. I don't know if the bus went to BWV first or not but at 4:30 in the afternoon to have a full bus going to DTD was a suprise. We did not get there until 5:45.

I've had enough bad bus experiences over the years that we almost always take our car now!

I just called MS about something else, and asked the CM about "guests" and she said "As far as I know, it's only for DVC members." I didn't pursue it because it was obvious she was just throwing an answer out and didn't really know a thing.
