We went to Disneyland today. We had 3 reasons for going. Buy APs for my cousin and her family, look at our brick that was just installed, and check out the murals. We did the first too, and I started for Disneyland. My daughter said she wanted to go to DCA. Since I did ask her what she wanted to do next i couldn't tell her no. So off to DCA we go. We enter the park and there are people lined up for a parade. Knowing they only one is Block Party Blast and it hasn't officially started yet, we decided to go take a look. We found a spot right behind some people. 5 minutes later the parade started. There are 3 main sets of floats. First one is Toy Story, second one is Monsters Inc., and the third one is Bugs Life. The incredibles show up in the blocks. They also have trampolines. All the floats come out and stop, then they play jump, play with toys, scream, and dance. Lasts about 15 to 20 minutes then moves on to the next stop. I would say if you're at the very end it would be an hour before the parade got there. I know there were 3 stops, and probably a 4th. We watched it at the front, then went near the end and watched the third stop.

When it first enters the park, at the first stop Bugs Life is will stop near the entrance to Hollywood area. Monsters Inc. stops near the center entrance to the sun plaza, and Toy story stopped near the walkway to Soarin.

Second stop i only saw that toy story stopped right in front of Golden Vine winery

Third stop Bugs life was right in front of Golden Dreams, Monsters Inc was in front of the exit to Golden Dreams, and Toy story was near the route 66 store. Not sure if there was a fourth stop or not.

This is a nice parade to watch over again because there is so much going on you can't see it all the first time. Also there are 3 sets of floats so i'm sure it would be nice to see what happens at all of them. Plus the stuff in between. The second time we watched it we were by one of the blocks that has incredibles in it (Mr. in the first one, Mrs. in the second one). At the end they shot out some little spongy balls that said beach party blast.

Next we had fun checking out all the murals. They have a lot up. My favorite would have to be the Huge one of 10000 leagues under the sea, too bad it so high up.

We also saw where they have the golden ride vehicles. I saw teacups (in front of mad hatter shop) and Dumbo (where the old Dumbo photo stop is) They have them roped off and covered up, but i'm pretty sure that's what they were. We've also seen a bunch of the 50th symbols and my daughter points out a ton. Of course she found a lot of the murals that I didn't also.

My only complaint about some of the murals is you can't see the pics in them. They're either too high, or too far away. Some of them you would probably zoom in with a camera or binoculars, others are too high it would probably be too hard.

Sounds cool. Thanks for the parade details. My boys love the Incredibles so we'll have to check this out when we go. Do you know if they stop for autographs at all. I know my boys would want the Incredibles' autographs. We can hardly wait til August comes around. :Pinkbounc

Great report! Thank you & thanks for the picture links. This really sounds like it is going to be a fun parade for guests.

You are very welcome. If you check out our main page, you will also see an article about the Parade of Dreams parade. That too, has pictures. Enjoy!

I can not thank you enough for this post and your thoughts! My daughter will be SO excited, especially seeing the Incredibles. Thanks for letting us all know approximately where the stops are and that it would be good to see it more than once!!

They do interact with the kids. They have them come up and dance. Mostly its the people and not the characters, though i did see some of them dancing with the kids. The incredibles do not dance with them, as they are up higher.

They do have the incredibles in the park during the day though. My daughter was run over by Mr. Freeze one day.
