Hi I was just checking out the EMH's for July and noticed the block party bash. I can't recall it ? anyone know anything about it?

Thanks

It's an afternoon parade at DHS, I saw it last October and IMHO its one of the worst parades that I have seen Disney do since I started going to Disney 16 years ago, but other people like it, just not for me. so while everybodys watching the parade it gives us more time to go on RRC :thumbsup2

It is the parade at dhs and we loved it !! Its very high energy and I got to join in with the ymca and disco fever dance !! I can say my kids loved it and i will always rembere living my deam and being part of a parade lol
If you are after a parade with lots of characters then this is not for you but if you like a little boogie - u will love it !!

Exactly same thoughts here been going 16 years, saw it once, won't waste my time again. As you say others like it.
I also disliked tapestry of dreams in Epcot when others loved it, we can't all like everything.

If you are going to see it, you should bear in mind that it is not a regular parade like the ones at MK. It moves along a bit, then stops for a few minutes, then moves along a little more, then stops for a few minutes and so on. The route (when we saw it) was from the front of the park, down to the hat, and then along towards star tours. If you are waiting near the end of the route, you will be there a very long time waiting for it to come. Either try to catch it at the start of the route, or turn up late. Where we were, a number of people actually gave up waiting as they thought the parade had broken down.

i saw this for the first time last october and was pleasantly suprised!
it is all Pixar characters, i think it was a float per movie?

it's really interactive.. DBF was wearing a Batman tshirt, and Mrs Incredible pointed at him and shook her head! Also a green army-man (toy story) announced on his microphone that there was a 'celebrity' watching the parade today... Batman! :rotfl:

i did really like the previous motor-car parade in DHS but this one is fun & we enjoyed it.

Barbie princess:

I loved this parade, we went after we were married and had the bride ears on and the toy solder annouced it and everyone cheered, very good interactive parade

We saw this for the first time last June and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We took our 2 year old who really loved the big floats, the music which is loud and from the films and the characters who get off the floats and interact with the crowds. We saw it on Hollywood Boulevard - the stretch from the entrance up to the hat. As the parade stops for a while your experience is determined by where you are sitting. We happened by chance to be positioned where the Monters Inc float stopped so this was good. Toy Story also looked a good one. All the floats are Disney Pixar and included; Monsters, Toy Story and Bugs Life - no Cars when we went.

I'm not a parade lover myself, but I actually enjoyed this one. There is a lot of dancing and a bit of comedy but at the end, the float which we were near, threw out a load of rubber balls with 'Block Party Bash' on them. My six year old managed to grab one and was thrilled to bits.

As with all parades, it's worth checking out if you're there already, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

We enjoyed it last week :thumbsup2,but unless the girls wanted to watch it again(if it's still being done in 2 years time)we won't bother(i did prefer the old parade, much better :thumbsup2).
We watched it from the front of the park, and when it stopped the girls were chosen to dance in the 'street' with the characters and dancers. It's very high energy,clap-a-long to songs+had a good feel to it .
At the end they shoot out rubber balls, and Dd4 caught a green one with Block Party Bash written on it-it made her day :thumbsup2.x.
