My family & I will be going to Disney April 3-9. I have 3 children, 2 boys- ages 13 & 4 and 1 girl- age 8. We are planning on going to a water park but don't know which one would be better for our kids (considering the ages). Any suggestions? I have looked at the slides at both parks and am not sure if the ones at Blizzard Beach would be too extreme for the 4 & 8 year old.    pirate: pirate: pirate: ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo :earsboy: :earsboy: :smooth: :smooth: :jester: :jester:

To keep everyone happy, I would choose Typhoon Lagoon for your family. Everyone, including the youngest, will have something to do.

Having said that, you would also find plenty for all to do at Blizzard Beach.

Either one would be a good choice.

TL! I bet the kids will love snorkeling over the shark reef. bobbing in the wave pool and sliding on the twisty slides.

My son's best friend who is 8 just returned from Disney. His favorite park was Blizzard Beach and then AK.

Does anyone know if Typhoon Lagoon will reopen in mid February?

We will be there at the same time.

We live near the Wisconsin Dells, king of the water parks and home to the largest parks in the US. Each summer we go at least once to Noah's Ark.

My kids (5 & 10 and both boys) want to go to Blizzard Beach, hands down. They have seen the slides on the Travel Channel and have decided that's it.

I think it would be really neat to snorkle with the sharks, but I have been out voted. I really think either one would be ok.

Lets hope for nice, hot weather. It was -10 this morning here.

On our 1st trip to Disney, my oldest son, then 9, claimed his favorite ride for the week was the big slide at BB. Of course he and I were the only ones to go on it, the others just did the smaller things.

both places are great and alot of fun....which one is best depends on your kids....my dd did "summit plummit" at age 5 and loved it....usually by 8 yrs old, they can and will do anything in either park....also, BB has a really good kids area...
