I have a couple of questions about Blizzard Beach. We are thinking of going there when we get off of our cruise in September.

1. Do you have to pay to park there? We were hoping to head straight there and not go to check in our resort until later that afternoon.

2. Do you think 4 hours will be enough time at the water park? We are going to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show that night, so we would only have about 4 hours to visit.

3. We are staying at the CBR for the first time (and only 1 night). Would it be better to just hang out at CBR this time and save our 'plus' from our hopper for a day when we have more time to spend at BB?

Thanks,
DJ

I dont think there was any parking fee at either water park. As for 4 hours I prefer to go for 4 hours anyway and do the other half day at a park. The only problem I see with Blizzard Beach is if your going in the afternoon. You have two things to fight. Long lines and storms. Everything will shut down if it lightenings and if it doesnt Blizzard Beach gets more crowded as the day goes on. If your willing to chance those two items I would deffintly do it myself. It would be a great way to use your time, relax in the sun and cool down in the water.

Is there is not parking fee (and we don't need to check in our resort to get a 'parking pass' before we go), we should be able to be at BB by 11:00. We get off our Disney Cruise around 8:00 or 8:30 and pick up our car and head straight to BB. It doesn't open until 10:00 in September.

As for storms, I guess if it looks like bad weather, we will just pass on going.

I thought 4 hours sounded like plenty to me, we have never been there, so I just wasn't sure.

Thanks!

We went the day after Memorial Day. Got there before opening, and left around 1:00 or 1:30. It was packed by the time we left.

One thing to keep in mind - its been mentioned in other threads - take swim shoes with you. The pavement is hot, and there's lots of it.

Also, several people have mentioned the importance of finding chairs early. If you're there for four hours you may not care about finding chairs to put your stuff in, but its another factor to take into consideration.

I was just there last week. No there is no charge for parking at either of the waterparks. One thing to keep in mind (and it may not affect you in September)....both waterparks filled to capacity last week while we were there and closed. However, they did reopen after 2pm. We went to both BB and TL after 3pm and the crowds were much smaller. We stayed until closing at 7pm. I definitely think 4 hours is plenty of time at the waterpark.
