Ariiving at FW on 9/1. Want to do a day at a water park. Which is better? Typhoon or Blizzaed. Travelling with 3 kids ages 4, 10 and 13?

In my opinion - TL is the best!

We were there on 8/1 with kids 1 - 9 yrs old. We "camped" out in the kiddie section. I stayed there most of the day with the girls, chasing 1yo and keeping an eye on 4yo - who did kiddie water slide and kiddie raft ride.

My husband took the boys to the shark reef first thing. He also did Humuga Kowabunga with 8yo. All the boys (6,8,&9) did the regular water slides and a bit in the wave pool. Everyones favorite was the lazy river. We could even take baby on it.

We got there at 9:15, planned on leaving at 1:00, but we were having so much fun, we stayed until 5:30. It was a great day!

Good luck and have fun!

It's really a personal choice ... our family has been to Blizzard Beach once and never felt the need to go back as we LOVE Typhoon Lagoon so much more.

If you have a family that thrives on slides, BB is the place. TL is a bit more laid-back and appears to be a bit larger so less congested.

I vote for TL, too! I just love the theming, the lazy river, AND the wave pool!

i guess i am in the monority, we prefer Blizzard Beach, seems to have more rides for the younger ones, also the fact that I had an unfortunate accident in the wave pool while holding my then very young niece, both are nice water parks by we just prefer Blizzard beach

BB has way more slides and thrill rides as well as the best and longest family raft in the world. They both have great kids areas and lazy river. Most people from up north don't care much for the themeing at BB. The see all the snow they care to at home. TL is more of a swimming water park. They do have slides just not near as many or the variety of BB. The huge wave pool is wonderful. The tropical themeing appeals more to people who do not live down here. (I have most of the same plants and trees in my back yard)

Both parks are great. We go to BB for the slides and usually can only stay about 1/2 day. That's is about all we are in shape for.

We go to TL for all day and just hang around the wave pool. I really don't think you can go wrong with either.

We have more nonstop fun in the water parks than the regular parks.

Amen to that, especially in the Summer, when we go to the parks in the summer we are ready to head back to the fort about an hour later, the parks are better in the evening in summer months,

I myself prefer TL to BB. BB to me is way, way to much climbing up stairs to get to the rides. TL has the best wave pool, plus you get to swim with the sharks and the slides at TL are for ALL ages! :)

You got to be kidding! TL is way worse about having to climb up to the slides. It is even worse than it has to be because of the way the stairs go up 10 steps and then down 4 and then up 12 down 8. It seems to take forever to get to the top. BB has the chair lift that will carry you to the top where it is a short walk or climb to most every slide in the park. Now, Iwill agree that it is a good climb if the chairlift is not working or you don't like to ride but at least the stairs are all up. But as I said earlier we can only take about 1/2 day of BB where at TL we stay all day.

Yes, there is climbing at TL, but to me (in my opinion), BB is ALOT more climbing. It seems like everything that you want to do is at the top of the mountain so to speak and you have to climb up every time you want to ride something...aaah! :(
The chair lift is a great way of getting you to the top, but everyone else has the same idea as you do and you have to wait to get on the chair lift. By the time you have waited for that, you could have walked up the stairs & rode the slide back down.
