It's been awhile since I've been on the boards! We are planning a quick trip to Disney in April and thought we'd hit some water parks. Do the water parks allow coolers? I know you can take them into the theme parks, but I wasn't sure about the water parks. Thanks in advance! :clown:

I've always taken in a small cooler and worried that they might not allowed it, but last year I noticed people with very large coolers on wheels, with full picnic spreads. My DH said he was going to haul in a wagon-full of supplies the next time he goes! :rolleyes2

Brought a large one filled with drinks and a small
one filled with snacks, never had a problem.

We have seen people take in large coolers before and they didn't stop them at the gate. However when they try to take them into the parks, they do get stopped (the smaller coolers can go in). I would suggest to keep it reasonable and there shouldn't be a problem.

Coolers are allowed in the waterparks, there is no restriction. Just remember not to pack any glass or alcohol, your cooler will be searched.

Yes we packed up a nice lunch with drinks and dessert and put them in a soft- sided cooler bag and went in without a problem! Saved a bunch of money too and I love the fact that the water parks don't charge for parking! :thumbsup2

No our cooler wasn't searched. :sunny:

so do you leave the cooler with your stuff right at the chairs???

Ours was searched, but that was 2 years ago, they may have lightened up since then. We just left ours under our chairs in the shade.

We left our cooler right under our chairs and we also had our beach bag there too and no one bothered with our stuff at all. We were at Typhoon Lagoon as soon as it opened and went right away to find a shady spot under the gazebo type of structure and then came and went from our spot all day. We loved it!We also rented a locker for our wallets and valuables etc. And if I remeber correctly we opened and closed the locker all day whenever we wanted our digital camera out and there wasn't any extra charge for this. :sunny:

That's good to know. We plan to get there at opening this year and make a day of it. With five us it takes a good bit of stuff to last us for the day (food and drink), and a tiny cooler is not going to cut it! :thumbsup2

I think we will bring a cooler the next time we go.

I read in Passporter. Once you buy the refillable mug at the waterpark you can purchase refill scanner tags on future trips for only $5. It also says you can use BB mugs at TL and vice versa. In April we have several waterpark days planned so we shall see.
