Blink Giveth Back!

I actually stopped doing Blink a few weeks before we heard about those points. I have been waiting a couple of months now for a webbie and I have to keep emailing them in order to get my referrals listed. It took almost a month to get 3 of my referrals and I'm still fighting with them about a 4th one. When I heard about those extra points I decided to start back up again, but once they took them away I stopped. It's not worth my time to do it if I have to keep sending emails to get the points or prizes I earned. Maybe if they had better communication I wouldn't be so annoyed. Like I said, I have found other things to occupy my time. JMHO. :D

Yes, I took advantage of the 54,000 points. Whether or not they were the result of a mistake or a broken link, I think Blink should have honored their promise. Lots of merchants make mistakes, and it's usually the merchants loss, not the customers.

As I said before, I never e-mailed them one way or the other. I was disappointed they took them back, but if that's how they wanted to do it, it was their prerogative. I was surprised to find them back in my account. Also, I never got my Amazon certificate from them, and might actually e-mail them about that.

Whatever.

I am just wondering what dskramer read in the thread that made him/her think the points were a mistake. I reread the thread up to that point, and there is nothing about it being an error at all, nothing that would make someone totally new without any preconcieved notion think the points were a Blink mistake. Just that the large number of points were taken away and some confusion as to why some people had the points returned. With most of the points being a value of 5, and 25 being a high point value with 1 50-pointer), who's to say that the 120 one shouldn't really be 12? If Blink changed that and withdrew points based on the change, would that also be points people had gotten in error?

I was quick to post when I got my Amazon GC from Blink, to let folks know that thew were indeed sending things out. I try to be fair at both ends of the (non) debate.

Just pondering here ...

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. Clearly I differ with most of you on this subject but I appreciate your giving me your points of view.

It really does irritate me however that they do not respond to emails....its not just blink, its spedia (its been 2 months since I requested a 33.00 check, no reply to 5 emails either) and even mypoints, they used to be good, I would get my gift certificates in like 3-4 days...now its 3-4 weeks or even more! But at least THEY respond to emails. I requested my Blink cash out on June 6 and I went for the cash through Money Zap...haven't received anything as of yet.
