I purchased a Blink camera for the RV, I'll be staying in at FW. I mainly got it to keep an eye on my little dog, when I go to the parks. It is a plug in type of camera but it does require a wifi signal. How reliable is the wi-fi at FW?

We use ring cameras, no problem with the wifi in premium sites, can't answer for other sites

I wonder if creating a hot spot on my iphone is a possibility…Back to research!
Once your iPhone is out of range, the camera won’t be able to connect to the hotspot.

I have used 2 different methods.
1. I had an old phone to use as “the camera”, I downloaded the Alfred app to my current phone and the old phone. I made sure to keep the old phone plugged in at all times and propped it up so I would have a good view of the living area of the camper. The old phone would connect to Disney’s wifi. I was able to use my current phone to see what was happening in the camper by opening the Alfred app and watching what the old phone was capturing on the camera.

2. I did as Scarletfire mentioned and got a travel router which I connected to the Disney wifi (this was achieved using the router’s app on my phone or laptop). I used that router to create my own secure WiFi network and then connected a camera to the router's secure wifi network.

Thanks! I have ordered this travel router: TP-Link TL-WR802N. I’m hoping it will be easy enough to set up and will serve it’s purpose!

If that one doesn't work for you, take a look at the GL.iNet GL-MT3000 (Beryl AX) Portable Travel Router. It's a little more expensive, but it's worked great for us. The U/I is pretty straight forward for connecting to campground wifi and, although it's an extra step to get it to connect, it's nice to have all of our devices pointing to that one device. Even when we use our Starlink mini, we use the travel router to connect to it, so I never have to change the wifi settings on our TV, phones or laptop. (If you want more info on this travel router, search Beryl AX and look for the video from Crosstalk Solutions on YouTube.)

One other tip, I think would work with either router, we use a clear plastic sink sponge holder with suction cups to hold the router in the window of our camper. Most of the time, it works fine in the front window, but with the suction cups we can move it side to side as needed as well.

While we haven’t stayed at Fort Wilderness recently, the method we came up with that has worked at any hotel is to use a second iphone that we leave in the room with a hotspot on. We use that phone as the WiFi to link to the camera. Then we use the app to keep an eye on our pups. We have a Eufy but I imagine it woukd work the same way.
