For anyone that traveled this week last year, did the price on JetBlue for the Saturday before Thanksgiving go down? I’ve been watching since the day the flight became available and it’s been this high since that day.

You are WAY early to be looking at flights for November, in my experience. Pricing will absolutely fluctuate, and will most likely drop significantly as it gets closer.

You think that even for the weekend before Thanksgiving? IMO, that changes things.

Of course, I'm one that will start stalking flights 11+ months out (yes, they officially come out 330 days early, but I'll look at similar times for the previous year if I can).

OP, if the price hasn't come down yet, just keep watching. If they don't come down, what are you going to do? If you won't fly and just drive, you can watch until the day of. If you'll just suck it up and purchase, book when you're comfortable. JB has $0 change fees if you do the change online, so still keep watching after you book.

Yes, I absolutely do.

Yes, I absolutely do.
Totally fair. I think the shortest time between booking and trip (vacation) for me is four months. I get nervous and we've generally been booking for 5-8 people.

I know the "rule" is it's supposed to be cheapest seven weeks out, but I haven't found that to be the case. I use google flights to track, and rarely does that prove true. Of course, that's an "average", so where you're flying from/to, when (holidays, spring break, etc), and time of day could of course make that change.

I'm of the opinion that one way you can help make sure you get the best price is to be flexible. Can you leave the night before? Stay an extra day? Sacrifice the non-stop for a connection? Travel early morning/late evening?
