Is that a requirement for attending the parade? I went to the parade when the NYR won the cup in the 90s and I wasn't even a Ranger fan. I had a good time and I cheered for the players, even though they played against "my team" during the regular season.
Believe it or not, there are some fans that don't/can't get to games as often as others, but it doesn't mean they are any less of a fan.
My husband went to 2 games this year and we live in Texas. He went to a regular season game and game 5 of the finals. I am hope they show it on WGN or at least show some highlights on the news.

Well, how many of them could afford it? Hawks tickets are very expensive, I know of several die-hard fans who just did not have the money to attend a game. They still watched every game they could on tv and I hope they are having a great time at the rally.

I know many people that couldn't even afford to watch them at home on TV because so many games were on VS and that's an upgrade on most cable/dish packages.
My husband is not going to Bears games either, but a life-long fan. I am a huge White Sox fan, but can't afford to go a game there either. (I will admit that I refuse to pay for the nose-bleed seats. I have a fear of heights and would rather be at home where I can actually see the game.)
Not too bad to you could be "way too much" for someone else. While I agree that there are probably a lot of people at the rally for jumped on the bandwagon, it is unfair to imply that the only way you are a true fan is if you go to the games.

loved these guys as we grew up in Chicago, I used to work for the team dentist (Dr. RJ Duresa) in 1982 and I often went to the games and used his front row, VIP box seats, I was never so cold and my Dad was never so proud!! Go team,go!!
are even better when they are free?? as for spending a hundred bucks to go see them play, I can think of much better uses for my hard earned money! but we all have the right to say go team go!

True but keep in mind that the Hawks are one of the highest salary cap teams in the NHL, they might be the highest actually. So it would be nice for people to support them by actually buying tickets. If nobody buys tickets, you don't have a team, especially not one that is paying millions to sign top tier players.
Parking in the cheap lots is $20.00. I have to imagine that food for one person is at least $15-$20. So you're saying that the tickets are around $25 each?
I find that hard to believe for any professional sport.
I'm sorry why does some one actually have to physically go to a game to be a fan? I'm a HUGE hockey fan and really don't have the $$ to go to a game, but followed on tv and online. I guess in your eyes that doesn't make me a "real" fan.
