Blackberry Data Transfer Questions

I have to get a new blackberry, my has been acting wonky for a few months now and since it is still under warranty the girl at Verizon said they would just replace it. I have used the Blackberry Desktop Manager to backup all my data. When I get my new one, do I just need to plug it into my computer and transfer the info on to the new one. The only option I really see is if you are transferring from one blackberry to another.

Also when it transfers the data will all my text messages also transfer. It looks like they were backed up too on my computer.

when you get your replacement, it will come with complete instructions. i'm pretty sure though, that i just plugged the new blackberry into the computer to transfer everything over. the only things that did not transfer were my text messages and previous emails. but i may have done something to turn that aspect of it off. i mainly wanted my calendar, pictures and contacts.
