Okay, BF shopping question for you ;-)

Can you go into the 24 hr Walmarts an hour or so BEFORE the official starting sale time (which is normally 6am right?), and put the items in your buggy? Then check out at 6am?

There are only a few things I really want, like the boys jeans, and I really don't want to fight for them.
Unfortunately this Friday after Thanksgiving I will have my kids with me---no babysitter,no alone time for this girl !!

I think someone asked about this .... I remember reading that you can not do that, I don't know if they make you leave the store or what, maybe someone can remember what the exact detains were !! Someone also stated that they were able to shop ONLINE and get the specials, so you wouldn't have to fight for the jeans !!!

Don't the 24 hour WalMarts close for Thanksgiving. I bet they don't reopen until 6 just to keep you from getting there at 5 to scope the joint out! LOL!

I don't think anyone has seen the target and KBtoys add yet. Our Walmart does not close Thanksgiving day , they only close Christmas I believe, so going one hour earlier in the morning should not be a problem.

I do not think Walmart closes for TG. I know a couple of years ago we walked in the door at 6 am and all the things we wanted were gone!! I raised holy He**. They told me the people were lined up since 3 am! That is really kind of unfair. I think that they should close and then reopen. I had wanted a particular digital camera and when I went to the camera dept at 605 they told me that they had only 50 cameras and they were gone at 6 am. That was physically impossible since it is impossible to ring up 50 sales in 5 minutes!! I went all the way to the area supervisor and they finally gave me a camera that was worth double the one I had wanted. I do not care a store should give everyone a fair chance and this one did not. I do not care if they say limited quantities..if one is there when the door opens and in the area less than 5 minutes after it opens there is no way they were not selling before the time.

How our store does it (we dont close thanksgiving) is that the Blitz stuff is all prepped (unboxed etc) in back, palletized, then Saran Wrapped. Its brought to its designated location (they spread it throughout the store so not all toys are in toys so the store gets hit not just toys and electronics) about 5:15-5:30 and several overnighters/mgmt is assigned to every section and they guard it till about 5:58 when it gets un-shrinkwrapped. At 6 they jump outta the way ASAP and the "fun" begins. The amounts we get for each item is varied so how long it lasts depends on the item-

Our Walmart's close-- even our 24hr ones. I always thought Walmart was really good about having a lot of their items in stock-- especially the electronics,bikes, and such. Better than a lot of other places anyhow.

I have gone back to our Walmart in the evening on BF and found many items that were from the 4 hr a.m. sale still there and still at the special price. I guess our Walmart's just aren't as busy.

Last year our Walmart had skids of BF stuff spread out throughout the store. I didn't get there until after noon and I was disappointed because I thought they had run out of a dvd player I wanted, but I ended up finding an almost full skid of them in the grocery center aisle. I did a happy dance right there in the store I get stressed shopping when there's alot of people (I usually have at least two kids with me) so I usually avoid the BF sales or go later in the day and end up missing alot of deals, but I like to check anyway. That would be perfect if I could do it online!

I'd like to know if that's a Gameboy Advance SP or not, too, I need to buy two of them and wouldn't pass up that price.

I believe they have everything in the ad covered (or at least the hot items) and uncover them at 6.

I have a question about the Kodak camera w/ docking station that is listed. Does anyone know if the docking stattion is the regular one, oor is it the one that can be used to print pictures.

It is not the photo printer. It is a docking station that will recharge batteries and allow one touch transfer.

KB Toys stores are closing so I would be suprised if they have an ad for that day.

I guess the WalMart closing might be goverened by any applicable state or local laws. (You know like the laws that used to require stores to be closed on Sundays?)

Reading this makes me glad I miss it. I will be at Natick Mall bright and early however!

Must vary from one Wal Mart to another. Our 24hr Wal Mart closes on TGiving (though I can't remember what time exactly--maybe around 4pm?) and reopens at 6am on BF. The line outside is always long, even as early as 3 or 4am, and it's ALWAYS cold.
