I'm thrilled to see this thread again! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You saved me a bucket of cash last year on Digital picture frames and SD cards. It was a Merry Christmas for all!


I have no idea what the hot item will be this year, but having one item to buy for everyone sure helped me out a lot. I think I will do that again this year if there is a popular item to be had.

Any rumors on what this year's digital frames will be? I hope it is a grown-up thing and not an Elmo...all the people I buy for are adults now!

I bought my sons a laptop, just one, at walmart several weeks ago when they were $398, got it during tax free weekend, I got mine at walmart last year on Black Friday for the same amount and I LOVE IT Last years was a Compaq, this years is a Toshiba.

My kids have both asked for laptops. Since they stay on my computer, and I'm taking online classes, I don't think it is a bad idea. I like a desktop, but would have theirs for trips. Any rumors on deals? Walmart has some right now, in colors, that I'm tempted to go ahead and buy, but would hate to see a better deal later!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm hoping to find a 32" LCD TV, maybe a digital camcorder for my brother (if I can get a good deal), some digital picture frames (that I'll load with family pictures for all those hard to find gifts for relatives!) I'm excited!!!!

2 yrs ago DH slept out at Best Buy and mom and I got up early to go shopping, Daddy was nice enough to stay w/ the kids. Last yr. DH slept out again (at a different/new location but w/ some of the same people) Got a desk top one yr, lap top the next and a GPS. Mom and dad didnt' make it last yr so no shopping for me. This yr they will be here so I already told her the same deals goes. She is getting up if she likes it or not. LOL I avoid Walmart but will hit the mall and some places like that.

Black Friday shopping is a sport in my house. DD and I get up VERY early and get dressed really warm armed with hot chocolate and wait in whatever lines are necessary. Last year was the year of GPS and jump drives, I think this year TV's will be a big thing. I'll be looking for an itouch or possibly a wireless speaker system.

So, I'm new here, so I stumbled across this and start reading about everyone's excitement sad that I can't do BF this year, and I love BF. We go to Disney every other Thanksgiving. So I go BF every other year. Now Don't get me wrong, I'd rather be in Disney, but hearing all of you talk gets me excited... for next year. I too will check out the early morning online deals, but won't adventure out to Orlando as we have reservations at BBB at 9am on Thankgiving.
But isn't it fun to be out at 4am getting a great deal???
Lat year was digital frames for me. We got them for the grandparents (and one for me) and loaded them with pictures. I have mine looking at me right now, my husband filled it with our Disney photos.
As for Wii, anyone looking for one. You haven't lived untill you have gotten in line at 3am in a blizzard/freezing rain storm to find that you are 2nd in line and WILL gt a Wii. My husband and I did that last year and it was, beleive it or not, fun. What was more fun is seeing the reaction of my kids when they opened it...

I got my WII last summer in the blazing heat . I was outside of bestbuy for 3 hours to find out that there were only 25 machines in the store . I got number 25 . I was so thrilled .

last month I was complaining on what to get the kids and my DH said to try to get the Wii Fit . I was so lucky to walk into Toys R US and find 8 of them left . I got one ...I should have bought more then one and sold the other one on E-Bay or to someone that really wanted it . Oh well now on the the Clothes for the girls and a DS bundle for my son. We had two old ones and they are not working so great so He will get a new one from Santa ...

I've done a good bit of Christmas shopping already. My daughter's birthday is in Nov, and wants a Hannah Montana party. Walmart had all the HM shirts clearanced for $5, 3, or 2 this morning. I bought some $3 shirts for all the party guests to wear (pretty cheap for party favors!), a couple for 2 nieces Christmas presents, and one of every style to give to my daughter on her birthday. She is also getting the 3D movie, and a HM sleeping bag and raincoat I got at Burke's outlet for less than $20 combined.

Walmart also had some HSM shirts clearanced.

For the first time in many years we are going to be out of town for Black Friday. Which does not usually stop us from shopping, but we will be at WDW. Have any of you been at WDW and ventured out shopping?

I am having mixed feelings about Black Friday this year. My hubby is a Black Friday freak. I didn't even know he could get up that early!!

I got the HSM stuff at LTDcommodities.com. Once you are on their website, just search Highschool musical and a bunch of stuff comes up.

Just an FYI, I got some good deals at Steve and Barry's store. They are closing our store and everything was under 8.00.

I just found a bunch of HSM and Hannah Montana stuff at our local CVS on clearance. They had necklace kits and nail kits and stationary kits for $1.75 each. I picked up a few for surprise gifts.

Black Friday Buddies should note that the rumored list for Ace Hardware at this link is a planning list from Ace Hardware and is not finalized. Ace Hardware does not want customers to believe that this is in fact the final ad. Ace is planning to issue to all a finalized list in early November.
