Around here, Aero usually does there 50% off everything sale until 12 noon. (Very similar to the Bulldog or Stock up sale they do; all non reduced items are 50% off, and certain items are more [like $7 polos, or $20 jeans])

Hollister, Abercrombie, & American Eagle usually just have mark downs. Last year I think American Eagle may have done 15% off until noon (or you may have had to have a coupon for that I can't remember for sure) and they usually have some sort of gamepiece based thing going on for the first 500 shoppers or the like.

Old Navy [I don't know if that's part of the etc. or not] usually has some really great deals and a good freebie with $35 purchase; however, it's also usually a mad house. Gap usually has a standard percent off [10, 15, or 25; I can't remember] and a freebie with $50 purchase [often the same freebie as Old Navy].

Hope that helps!

OMG, I haven't been on this board in ages. I'm thrilled to find this thread to talk to crazy people like me. I actually leave to go shopping right after we clean up Thanksgiving dinner. Last year we were at the outlets by 10:30pm they were opened 24 hours, and then it was off to wait outside Walmart, Target, yada yada. I've already started shopping, I'd say I'm 1/4 way done. Can't wait to chat with you all. Linda

Does anyone know if there are usually good sporting good deals on BF (we've been doing black friday for years but never really been looking for this stuff)? I've started running and I know that's what I'll be asking for mostly come christmas (shoes and a nike+ specifically) and I like to point mom in the right direction ;-)

Modells had some great deals last year. 40% off coupons for store for a.m. shopping.

FANTASTIC! I didn't realize that these got posted so early. Thanks... watching this thread!!!

After taking it fairly easy on BF last year, I am going to hit it hard this year. I need a new tv and a couple of digital cameras. I am ready!!! Wish I could say that about my checkbook. :rotfl:

I hope this year's sale is really good....I have cash burning a hole in my pocket ;)

OMG OMG OMG!! Black Friday!! WOOOHOOOOO!! I am really going to try to do my best to get everyone shopped for early this year. I want December to myself, to make a pretty house, a pretty tree, and LOTS of cookies!! (And my birthday of course)

And to boot, we got out of DH's family's Pollyanna this year so that means more money and less *stress* for US!! (I'd much rather shop for people I love than people I don't really care for, that don't care for us!)

This day is the exact reason I'm going to WDW. I work retail, and Black Friday is insane. I usually have to be at work at 2am. Fun Stuff!! :dance3:

awwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!

I have been shopping on Black Friday since I can remember. I have been shopiing on my own since I moved to FL on Black Friday. This year will be great fun because it will be the 1st time I will take DD13 w/me. She's been wanting to go since the day I told her "This is the day I give Santa your list"

She still believes in Santa (He gives her the gift she really wants :rolleyes1) but Mom and Dad give the little gifts such as DVD"S and Itune cards.

So I'm more excited to see her face when she sees all the crazy people!!!

:santa:

Hi all!! I've been away from the boards for a while :sad1: and missed the start of this one. I'm in now and can't wait to see what this year brings!! I've shopped Black Friday most years - what a rush when you actually get a great deal :woohoo:

Last year I was able to get some of the BF deals online the night before. :thumbsup2

I'm hopping on this board now!

I am in search of a 37-40 in. LCD HD TV for our den!! Thinking I may have to beat people off of me to get one though...ha! We shall see! :cool1:

Thanks for starting this thread, I need to get all my shopping down early this year as we will be in WDW for a week in December. I too would like my December off to enjoy family and a little baking. I am looking for a Wii (fit) too, a new camcorder to take to WDW, plus a inexpensive circut! My girls haven't said too much about Christmas as they know the trip to WDW is part (ok mostly) their Christmas this year. I am sure they will want something else though. I have subscribed and will keep checking in!:happytv:

I too want an MP3 for my 9 year old...I can't wait to see what they have this year...dare I hope for a Wii ?

Signing on. I'm looking for a Nintendo DS for my dd this year too. Pink if we can get it but I'm not being picky. I'll take whatever I can get. And maybe a Wii if I go back to work full-time in Sept.

Seriously for those of you looking for DS or Wii for gifts this Christmas, don't wait until they offer sales or bundles. Just an FYI, the majority of retailers decide what's going to be in an ad/on sale a year in advance without knowing what the supply is.

Start looking now, especially online. I have seen both Wii and DS in stores recently. More so DS. I have never waited past October for Wii's or DS's. DH got me mine for my birthday last year in May. I got my parents a Wii in mid January this year.

For all the tech junkies looking for goodies including gaming systems, we have always been successful checking out cnet.com. It's a great site that not only gives you where to find the best prices but also gives reviews of products. We have used it many times to buy our video camera, compact digital camera, DSLR camera, etc...

Not sure what my status is this year on BF. I've gone out every year for at least the past 4 or 5 years but DH has to be at his new job on the 16th of December so we won't even have Christmas decorations up this year. :scared1: This will be a 1st in our 12 yrs of marriage.

I got my dd a Pokeman ds from blockbusters today using my cousins discount, so her big gift is done. Ds wants a MP3 player. I love BF I go with my mom's boyfriend and we awesome at getting the deals. He heads one way and I the other. I can't wait.

dreaming of black friday :woohoo: .......... in the 93 degree heat :headache: ....

let's go fall!! come already!!!!

My kids have both asked for laptops. Since they stay on my computer, and I'm taking online classes, I don't think it is a bad idea. I like a desktop, but would have theirs for trips. Any rumors on deals? Walmart has some right now, in colors, that I'm tempted to go ahead and buy, but would hate to see a better deal later!
